    Short Bed Towing

OK .. I'll stick my tallywacker in the light socket ..... I have the Anderson, and I like it. Had a number of folks try and talk me out of it, but I did not take their advice. On my F350 SB, I can get close to 90 deg, but not quite there. We're not full time, so when we're off the road, our...

    Inverter installation

Usually, what "Inverter Prep" means is that they've prewired a subset of 110v outlets in the coach to receive inverted power. Those outlets have leads that terminate in a junction box in a location where an inverter would normally be installed (not sure where there is in the Delta line, but in...

Keyless Locks for doors and cargo compartments

I've had an RVLock on the entry door for almost 2 years. Very nice .. so convenient that I'd say it's a requirement for us. However, I've had some issues with it. It will occasionally pop open (something is causing the lock to receive a retract command on the deadbolt) during travel. RVLock...

    Greystone range flame too high

Here's the Manual for your stove ... found (for now) under the Resources menu above. (This will be moving to the Alliance Academy section of the website in the near future. Doesn't address your question directly, but the exploded parts view may get you to where you need to look.

Looking for advice on buying a ‘24 Paradigm 385FL

We love our 32RLS ... we're not full time, but long time ... we did 133 nights last year. We'll beat that this year. We're both still working full time, so the floorplan allows us to each have an office space separate from each other.

Looking for advice on buying a ‘24 Paradigm 385FL

Welcome, KingDom .. and yowsa!... 90 degree turn on a steep grade with a 41 footer where you're already scraping with a 33 footer? You're ballasts are bigger than mine. Good luck, and see you out on the road. Lot's of 41 footers out there. You should have plenty of choices for camping ..

    Solar Panels on Valor 37v13

Just to add a couple of real world numbers I've experienced ... On my Norcold 16 cuft 12v fridge, I'm running at 4.5 amps after fully cooled, and not going in and out of it. Also seeing about an additional 15w as a normal draw with nothing on .. so must be smoke/co detectors and whatever power...

    How cold is too cold?

did you build a wall in the cabinet to section that off? How much room from the cabinet does it take up? ... and sorry, but I don't recall ... have you posted more pics on this in an earlier post? Thanks!

F350 6.75’ Bed and Gooseneck Conversion

Re: Avenue 32RLS and Anderson .. .I have a 2022 F350 SB. I can get pretty close to 90, but not to 90. The cap will touch the back window before 90.

    Under Mattress Moisture Solutions

We did the Den-Dry ... working well so far.

    Closet rod placement

Don't see any issue with moving it, if that's what fits your needs. We replaced ours with a smooth rod .. the indentations in the OEM rod made it inconvenient to push hung clothes out of the way to get to the back and side shelves.

    Avenue AC with no ducts

I have a 32RLS. I was apprehensive about the ductless AC in the living area, but the logic of not sending cooled air through the hot space above the ceiling made sense. I was also surprised at how quiet the AC units are. So far, the living AC keeps up just fine, unless you're above 100 deg in...

    Push-button light removal

We went a slightly different route for over the bed using these. So far, they are working well. We aim the lights at the back corner.

    Push-button light removal

I also picked up some of these on BF. I'll use them to replace the under cabinet lights in the kitchen. I like the idea of the dimming, and the blue ambient light option. The OEM's are just a bit too harsh when sitting at the couch and theater seats. Hopefully, these work as well as I"m...

    Hard wire surge protector

I did the same as Jim, I may have stolen the idea from him ... don't remember for sure. Also, I got a replacement surge board to have on hand in case needed. (I read about that somewhere .. don't remember where).

    New To The Alliance Family

I have a before project CAT scale ticket. I'm sure I've added weight, but I subtracted some also in equipment that was replaced. In addition, we go thru a re-evaluation of what is in the camper now and then, and that always results in the removal of things we find we just aren't using, or find...

    New To The Alliance Family

Welcome! We did the same exercise as you. Our 32RLS arrived in April 2022, truck arrived in July. (both were ordered on same day in Nov 2021). We used that time to get started on mods and putting our touch on it.

Happy Thanksgiving and Hi to all

Might be neat to post the results of that inspection to allow others to see how thorough it was, and to show the types of things that were found. Would be a good way to demonstrate the importance of a good initial inspection. Good luck .. Congrats .. and see you out on the road.

RV winter storage in cold weather states

I bought a heated GC3 during Battleborn's Black Friday sale. In my now 3 unit config, I plan on putting the heated one in the middle and a heat pad (Amazon linked above) on the outside of battery 1 and 2. Hoping this sandwich will work sufficiently to keep the batteries above low temp in very...

RV winter storage in cold weather states

I picked some up at Amazon. Haven't installed them yet, but my plan is to connect them to the Cerbo and have them kick off and on at set temps. This will be a good project for Florida in January, and a good way to learn some of the additional capabilities of the Cerbo. I think my plan above will...

RV winter storage in cold weather states

Thanks Jim... very helpful. I had not taken into consideration that you have yours stored, covered. While stored, mine will be in full sun, with solar charge available ... within the temp thresholds. I'm gonna let it ride as I stated above, and see how it does. Here in central Indiana, we...

RV winter storage in cold weather states

Jim: Can you speak to the Battleborn BMS? Should I not trust that it will function as designed and not allow a charge below low temp? I was planning to leave it be, thinking: BMS kicks in to shut off charging when below designed temp, then charging resumes once temp exceeds low temp threshold...

    36V11 Suspension Upgrade

Ya .. that is interesting. I'm got mine installed with a single spacer. I used the jacks to increase the separation, but had no problem getting them in. I did have to move my propane line on the drivers side, but everything needed was included in the kit. (the below pic does not show the...

Burnt Solar Wires / Wire Nuts - Solar Plus

Wonder what the "new connector" being installed is? When I gave mine a gentle tug to see if there was some slack I could utilize, the wire just pulled right out. Connection must not have been tight at all. Just ended up abandoning the roof gland.

    Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System

Helped the ride a bit ... smoothed out the jump over bumps when towing. Mostly, I was aiming to level up the truck and trailer ... it did that well. The yellow is the Ford OEM bump stop that the Timbren replaced ... shown just to demonstrate the difference. The Timbren does not make contact...

    Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System

Not a Ram .. but I have them on my F350 SB. I'm happy with them as they helped make me more level when towing. As you stated, they don't come into play when not towing. Easy to install. (First pic before Timbrens, 2nd after)

Solar/Inverter/Battery Install in an Avenue 32RLS

Sorry .. missed your question: Thermostat is the MicroAir EasyTouch ... easy install, gives me remote access and monitoring ability. So far, it's working well.

Battery terminals on the outside of Battery box.

You could just choose not to use the external battery posts. Perhaps remove the posts and us the resulting holes as access directly to the battery. Or plug the holes and bring in the cables from the side.

Burnt Solar Wires / Wire Nuts - Solar Plus

Ya, basically. I ran the wires to the front wall, then toward the door side wall and penetrated into the front storage compartment at the top corner

    Roof Solar panel winterize

Jim: I thinking the “disconnect solar wires from controller” could be accomplished with a disconnect switch, don’t you think? No need to physically uninstall wiring. Also, I‘m thinking the Battleborn BMS will prevent charging at low temps, so that should be covered. Am I far off base?

Solar/Inverter/Battery Install in an Avenue 32RLS

Since this post, everything is working as expected. Stayed at a Harvest Host. Woke up next morning with 80% battery remaining. On rainy day, we...

Solar/Inverter/Battery Install in an Avenue 32RLS

No. I used the 1.5“ pipe, rather than the OEM roof penetration. Bus bar was from Amazon: DAIERTEK Bus Bar Terminal Block 4 x 5/16" (M8) Terminal Stud, 6 x #8 (M4) Screw Terminal Positive & Ground Power Distribution Block with Cover Marine Battery Bus Bar 12V - 48V for Automotive Car Boat...

Amazon. Instead of screwing then in, and having screws protruding the bottom of the box and into the roof, I epoxied them in.

Solar/Inverter/Battery Install in an Avenue 32RLS

Finished my Solar/Inverter/Battery install in our 2022 Avenue 32RLS. -Added 3 more Renogy 320w panels to the one that came with the unit, for a total of 4. Ran them 2s2p -Abandoned the OEM roof penetration for the 1.5" chase that runs roof to basement for solar wiring -Victron 150/100 MPPT...

Burnt Solar Wires / Wire Nuts - Solar Plus

I ordered the panels from Renogy, but they do not come with mounting hardware. I ordered the Z brackets that goes with these panels .. also from Renogy.

Burnt Solar Wires / Wire Nuts - Solar Plus

On the underside of the box, I have 2 layers (one close to the hole, one further out) of butyl tape, then AFCAT 945 around the perimeter and at screw penetrations, and where wires penetrate box. I had one 320w panel that came from the factory and added 3 more of the same from Renogy. They are...

Burnt Solar Wires / Wire Nuts - Solar Plus

This is exactly what I did in my 32RLS. I abandoned the OEM roof penetration and switched to the PVC pipe roof access. That way, I know exactly how the wire is routed, and that all connections are sound. There is now just uninterrupted wire (no splices) running from the roof penetration box...

No rabbit pellet ice. They are small oval shapes, about the size of my thumb. I found that the ice makers that produce rabbit pellet ice go up in price pretty quickly ... the law of demand kicks in, I guess.

    Television. Dvd

I went a little different route in my 32rls. We don't use the OEM sound system. I installed a sound bar that sits on the shelf under the TV, with SW on shelf behind TV. I have a large library of phyiscal DVDs acquired over the years, so I thought I'd take along a sampling to keep in the...

Black and grey tank gauge accuracy?

They will be as accurate as they are clean inside. If the black tank has been emptied, flushed and a nominal amount of water put back in (5-10 gallons for instance), but a piece of debris is hanging on the top sensor, the tank will read full. I find it best to use a combination of thorough...

Westlake Tires - anyone had issue with them?

I'm also hyper focused on them. Been feeling good as they are holding up well, visually. Was planning on replacing at 12k-ish .. may move that up to 10k-ish.

Jenson 50 inch flat screen tv

Ours was on an articulating arm. It's a little firm and stiff .. but with some pressure, it pulls away from the wall about a foot, and articulates toward the couch or dining table about 30 deg or so.

Theater seating pull cord replacement (vidio)

@rgeyer, after watching this, I'm gonna work really hard to make mine last as long as possible. I'm guessing my fbombs would fly at a much lower threshold setting than yours.. Mine were going just watching you do all the work!
  56. CornCrib

Jenson 50 inch flat screen tv

I used a Vizio 2.1 with a wireless SW. Connected directly to the TV thru HDMI. SW sits on the shelf behind the TV. All 3 components are hooked up to a power strip so I can hit a single button and cut off power to all 3 so as not to allow standby power to draw off the inverter while on battery.

The left landing gear has to touchdown before the right one starts to drop

I've gotten into the habit of just skipping the auto level and manually leveling. Auto seems to take a convoluted path to success (although it is always successful). I feel I can get to level quicker with manual than auto.

    Starlink RV

@HelotesAg I would look at the availability map now and see if you're in an area that that has available service, or in a wait area. If in a wait area, I'd say your chances of switching back from Roam to Residential, or from one Residential address back to your home address is poor. If in a...

@HelotesAg - Portability was the term StarLink used previously for the abilty to move to different locations, rather than be tied to a geographical area in proximity to your service address. We paid extra per month ($15, I think) to have this feature. Otherwise, your dish would only connect...
