    Window screen removal

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. On my 32RLS, I also do not have springs as shown above. My screens run in a channel on top and bottom, or each side, depending on the window install. To remove the screen, I slide it toward the end, past the end of the channel, being it slightly outward to clear...

If they are lithium, they don't need to go in vented boxes. That gives you lots of options for mounting locations.

    Washer Location Access

Agree that it takes a bit of maneuvering to get to those spaces. We installed a new clothes rod so we can more easily slide the clothes out of the way. That helped a bit. Also, we put things back there that we don't need to get to on a daily basis, and put them in bins, so you can just grab...

How long does it take at Factory on install for Everchill -16cuft to cool to 45 / 5 ?

ClearSource filter & OnTheGo water softener install in a 32RLS

Hey Jim .. doing good here. Home for a couple of weeks, then back out again to KY and MI. So far, so good on the softener/filter set up. We live in a very hard water area and are familiar with the bad things hard water does to systems and appliances in the home, so it was a high priority for...

eBike rack - Rear bumper Class 2 receiver upgrade to Class 3?

We use the 1UP rack, rated for use on a 5th wheel. We've hauled our 2 Rad City's (65# each) a little over 6000 miles and it's all been good. While researching, I found there were very few racks rated to haul 2 ebikes on the back of a 5th wheel.

    Starlink RV

We're very happy with our Starlink. We're grandfathered in the Residential with Portability plan, and as long as we don't have tree cover to the north, it's done well everywhere we've gone. This, along with Project Genesis, (and backup from AT&T hotspot service on phones, which we've never had...

Awnings not working on brand new 2024 Ave 32RLS

Had this problem on mine on the 2nd time out. 2 Fuses involved, neither showed blown if going by the fact that there was no red light on the fuze panel next to the fuse slots. Pulled control panel and all connections behind switches looked fine. However, despite my protestations, at my wife's...

New Owners In Hammondsport NY - Stuart FL

Welcome.. Thinking of hitting the east coast for a week or two in the Feb/March time frame. Any recommendations for campgrounds in the area (or just as importantly, ones to avoid)? We have friends in the West Palm area, so Stuart would be convenient.

    Putty Splotch Removal

I've had a few pop out. It seems, at least on mine, that way more staples were used than was necessary, so I've just carefully pulled them and patched the hole with putty. I have not yet felt the need to replace them, just to make the blemish go away.

Water accumulating in sewer pipe despite system not being used.

We installed this, as well as John's solution ... extended the pipe out a bit so the gate valve is right at the edge of the camper, so we don't have to bend too much to get to it (gonna be old some day). The clear pipe lets me see if there is gonna be any surprises (since we installed the...

    Proper Adhesive for Camera Cable

I mounted it on the ceiling of the front compartment far to the drivers side. Connections seems fine. One thing I noticed: After hooking up camper to truck, the pressures will not display until I move a few feet (less than 100), then they pop right up.

Changing out the kitchen faucet (Video)

We changed our bulbs in the pendants above the sink to spots. Now, just the island is illuminated. We put some art paper in the sconces behind the couch to bring the light down a bit. Now, they primarily shine out the top and bottom.

    Traeger Ranger

I agree. Or pool on the drain pan and not flow into the bucket. It's key to make sure it's set on a surface that promotes the draining to the rear. That can be an issue when camping, as a nice level spot may have to be created.
  25. CornCrib

    Traeger Ranger

I've got the Traeger Scout (precursor to the Ranger). We use it often. Only downside is it does not hold temp well, and will surge up at times (set at 185, surges to 400+), so it has to be babysat. From my research, it seems the Ranger is less prone to that issue. Will be interested to hear...

    Boondocking with a 12v refrigerator

Correct. Of course, in my example above, if I had a singe lead acid 100AH battery, there would have only been 50AH usable. So, using a max of 60AH overnight may have caused a problem. At the very least, I'd have wanted to get a 100AH lithium battery (all 100AH usable) right up front to make...

    Considering Avenue 33RKS

We haven't done "Texas Hot" yet, but we're currently in central MO, where we've seen 93 deg this trip. We're in partial (30%) shade. Took a few hours to get cool, but once there, we're able to maintain 72 deg all day with 2 ACs on low fan speed.

    Boondocking with a 12v refrigerator

I have not yet installed the charge controller or inverter. Still running the stock (20amp Renogy Solar Controller, 2000w inverter) on those. All I've done up to this point is replace the dealer provided lead acid battery with 2 GC3's. August will see me add 3 more 320w panels, install the...

    Boondocking with a 12v refrigerator

We have a Norcold 16' 12v in our 32RLS. We tested by turning on our fridge in storage (no shore power) a few days before we left on a trip. Last week, it was on for 5 days. When we arrived at about 11am to load up, the batteries were at 100%. We have 540AH of lithium and 320w of solar. My...

    Camera Prep?

I installed the Ford Camera on my 32RLS, but went down the ladder and across and above the belly and up to the drivers side propane compartment. Getting the cable from the front storage to the pin box was the toughest part. Very little room in there at the front ceiling of the storage...

    New breakaway cable installation

We ordered this Cable Only , there was no need to risk activating the breakaway function by pulling the mechanism. We were able to detach the old cable and reattach the new. I've read that you should not engage the breakaway unnecessarily, as it could engage and not unengage. I've also read...

    Considering a Generator

It would be hard to not go with the Onan 5500, especially if you already own one and can take it from one unit to another. If the GenPrep on the Alliance came with the remote switch and an auto transfer switch, that would be nice also. As we didn't have one to move over, the $599 vs $5000 for...

    Considering a Generator

You might have to find one that is the correct dimensions for your unit. I got lucky. This is the Kwikee Tray we used ... almost the exact footprint of our Gen. My biggest hurdle was a generator/tray combo that was low enough to fit thru the reduced height of the Avenue front storage door. I...

    Avenue OTG Package Inverter Install

Could you snap a pic of the area in the front storage? I'm thinking there should be a metal outlet type box there somewhere, but not sure. It may be as simple as running a line from that box to your self installed inverter. That would power whatever outlets that were selected at the factory...

    Morryde Safe T Rail install

    Ice Maker

We have the 12v French Door Norcold, no ice maker. We have an $80 Frigidaire countertop ice maker from Costco. Works very well, and quick. F350 6.75’ Bed and Gooseneck Conversion

    MORryde Safe-T-Rail (30RLS)

As discussed above, I think the way to go is to cut the long bracket to custom fit what you need to cover the holes and stay below the awning. It looks like it's gonna cover the lower hole of the bracket, and barely miss covering the upper hole. If you're lucky, you mis-dryfitted it on your...

    Which hitch to purchase?

We also have the Anderson Ultimate in a F350 6.75' bed. Can't do 90 deg, but can get pretty close. We also have room to walk between the open tail gate and the camper when hitched. Allows for some wiggle room in hitching at an angle if necessary.

    Proper Adhesive for Camera Cable

Sorry ... didn't measure. But, I ran it over to ladder (4'), down the ladder (10') diagonally above the tire/coraplast (8'), up to the front left propane compartment (25ish'), up to the roof of the propane compartment (3') to the front compartment (1') to connect to the Y of the TMPS module...

    TPMS in Valor Wheels

Got my TPMS senors for the OEM Ford solution installed this weekend. Nichols adapters were not needed (so I now have a set sitting). My tires are inflated to 95psi, so your stated 125psi limitation does not affect me.
  48. CornCrib

    Proper Adhesive for Camera Cable

I chose the ladder, as it was just easier .. and I didn't have to open the chase and reseal it. The cable for the camera was plenty long and is almost invisible. I had the TPMS sensors installed this weekend. Provided the Nichols adapters to the tire shop, but they said they were not needed...

    MORryde Safe-T-Rail (30RLS)

If I'm following you correctly .. then Yes .. you could cut the longer top bracket, as the connection to the rail is at the bottom of that top bracket .. so it ends up at the exact same position as the smaller bracket. Both the short and the long butt up aganst the top of the lower bracket. As...

    Introduction

We pulled a 14' popup for 18 years, all across the country. I find the 35' 32RLS easier to control while backing into a site. Much more predictable and forgiving than a wagging popup. We're averaging 13.3mpg in 6000 miles towing the CornCrib with our '22 F350 6.7 SB... current weight of...

    Morryde Safe T Rail install

Bummer... my dealer sticker was 3D also ... but very rubberized ... like a giant gummy bear. Came off very easily once started. I rewarded them for their thoughtfulness by reapplying instead of ditching. I ended up not having to use heat to remove, or adhesive to reapply any of them. Got the...

    water drain

Just thinking out loud here ..... The low point drain may be slow because there is no air coming in to equalize the pressure. Try opening a faucet and see it drains quicker. However, As Jim states above, if we need to drain the fresh water from the tank, we use the large drain valve. I'll bet...

    MORryde Safe-T-Rail (30RLS)

    Morryde Safe T Rail install

I'm going to install a Morryde Safe T Rail this weekend... pretty straight forward, but wondering what to do with the stickers (RVIA silver, Model sticker, etc). I'd like to not cover them up, remove them and move out of the way. I figure I could carefully use a heat gun to loosen them, but...
