    Norcold N20DC

If you can afford to do it, I would replace the "Nevercold" piece of junk with a real residential refrigerator. No more often than you move, I think you would enjoy the peace of mind. You can hook it into your inverter system and then forget about it. I do not recommend through-the-door ice or...

New to us 2022 310RL Paradigm 5th Wheel.

Yes. I would make sure everything is winterized before you leave out with it. Better safe than sorry.

Alliance Paradigm 385FL delivery from Assembly Line after our walk thru where issues were promised they’d be fixed prior to delivery! That was a LIE!!

We had 3 leaking jacks on our unit. Also, the shower door base plate/track was installed backwards. We took it back to the dealership and they kept telling us they were waiting on Alliance to approve the repairs. I called and talked to the VP over customer service. He asked for my last 6 on the...

Alliance Paradigm 385FL delivery from Assembly Line after our walk thru where issues were promised they’d be fixed prior to delivery! That was a LIE!!

I found Alliance to be more responsive than any other RV company I have dealt with. If you think another brand will be a better choice, then I say "Good Luck with that".

Potential 2021 Paradigm 310rl purchase, looking for help on problem areas to check.

We had a 2021 model 310RL. No major issues. However, you may want to be sure none of the hydraulic jacks leak. We had all 6 of our replaced within the first 2 years. Also, if you are getting the A/C refridgerator, make sure the rear top anchors are solidly attached to the wall of the trailer...

    Paradigm 310rl quality ?

We had one of the early 310RL models. Ours was very well built and only had a couple of small issues. I would think this model, being one of their longest running lines, would by now be a very dependable, well built unit. Of course, you can/will have a few issues. It just goes with the...

Water in left (road side) basement area....

I had one of the fittings on a water line freeze and break on mine. It was anchored along the basement roof, and would drip a little. Took me a while to find that drip. Replaced the fitting and problem solved.

    It’s Happening: Avenue 32rls

You can forget about any dealer fixing your issue on a timely basis. No matter if it is an Alliance or some other brand. I believe Alliance can, and will fix your problem right there at the factory. After you get it, see what you need, then call their customer service folks and make an...

    310RL Towing

I did that, but not for long. Switched over to a diesel. POwer was good with that engine, even in the mountains. However, gas mileage was terrible. I think about 6MPG-9MPG as an average.

Effectiveness of Paradigm 310RL triple air contioners

We used our 310RL in Texas last summer for 3.5 weeks. It was around 110 every day except one, and the campground had NO trees for shade. I think it got to 113 a couple of those days. We ran all 3 A/C units and had them set for about 73. They did cycle on and off, but there was always one or two...

    Questions about new Paradigm.

We had a 310. Yes, the big windows make it harder to cool when the temps get over 100 degrees. I bought a big roll of the silver foil/cardboard stuff at Camping World. Then, I cut pieces to fit inside all the south and west facing windows. It made a huge difference in the cooling. I only had to...

    General warranty repair question

    Can you imagine that???
  13. J. Thomas

    General warranty repair question

I got approval generally the same day the request was sent in. Now there may be your problem. The dealer may have not sent in the request on a timely basis. If you want to check, you can take it to the dealer, then call Alliance warranty in about 1 or 2 days and see if they have any record of...

    Roadside Assistance / Towing Insurance

At Coachnet, I have been paying $179.00/yr for their towable policy. You can read the details of their coverage on their website where it describes their service. I have been paying St Farm about $967/yr for coverage on the Alliance 310RL. This is replacement coverage as well as coverage for the...

    Roadside Assistance / Towing Insurance

Personally, we used Coachnet for our roadside coverage. We found the coverage to be excellent and the service excellent too. We used State Farm for coverage on the trailer itself. Not the cheapest, but I trust them and have our other insurance with them too.

    Cold Air Return?

You can get this type of decorative material at Hobby Lobby stores. That is what I used to make my stairwell covers. Easy fit with just a little trimming.

    Exterior Paradigm Cleaning

Check out the website for "Mary Moppins". I have not had a chance to use it, but know several guys with RV's who swear by it. One guy told me he used it on his Rv, and did not have to use it again for 2 years. Might be worth trying. Jeff

    Inside Stairs

They have metal designer, grill-like panels for sale at Hobby Lobby stores. They were mentioned on a facebook Alliance page, so I bought some. Easy to trim and they fit and look nice. I used double sided tape to hold mine in. I think the original poster used some small screws.
  19. J. Thomas

    Inside Stairs

No, all the models I have seen have the back open for return airflow to the furnace/basement. You can buy any type of metal "grill/grid" material and cut a panel to fit, so critters do not get in there.

    Temporary loss of power

Yes, I had forgotten that the hydraulic oil might be cold and thick also. I did think of that later on. Anyway, I will never need to use the slides or hydraulic jacks again in sub freezing weather, I hope.
  21. J. Thomas

    Temporary loss of power

This happened to me during some really cold weather. Would lose power for a few seconds. I would start again, and power would fail. I then positioned the truck where I could leave it running and hook up the electric cable to the truck plug in. Let it charge that way for 5 minutes or so, and...

    Can I plug a 30amp trailer into a 50 amp trailer plug-in ?

We just sold our 310RL due to some health issues. We hope to get back into camping in a couple of years. Meanwhile, we have a spot for parking by our house, and have it wired for a 50 amp trailer plug. Some friends may come by for a few days and bring their travel trailer, which is set up with...

    Post-Warranty Support

My 310RL is almost a year out of warranty. However, I call customer service every now and then for info on various thing I am not sure about. They are always very helpful. A while back I hit a tree limb and broke my antenna dome. I called, ordered one from Alliance parts dept, and they got it to...

    F250 Shortbed Towing

No, you can not pull a 310RL and make a 90 degree turn, without hitting the cab corner. Well, maybe, if you are backing into a downhill location. But not on the level, and certainly not with the trailer moving in n uphill direction. Don't ask me how I know. I now have a 2021, F350 longbed. Oh...

    Alliance Service

I had a different issue, but had to do the same thing. Dealer said parts were on backorder, but Alliance told me they were never ordered. Got that straightened out pronto with the dealer. Dealer has not tried any of that funny stuff since.
  26. J. Thomas

FINALLY got our 310RL into the shop

Contact the Alliance customer service folks by phone during the work week. The dealer probably has not even ordered a door for your rig. Have Alliance track down what exactly the dealer has done. Probably nothing. I would think Alliance will get involved. They helped us with a dealer not doing...

5th Wheel King Pin Tripod Stabilizer

I have one, but have never used it on our 310RL. It just seems like another thing to pack and carry, so even though it came free with a previous 5th wheel, I have never given it a try. I have read a lot about the 5th wheel tripod, but it seems like half the people who use them like them, and...

    New Alliance RV Owner

Congratulations. We do not full time, but we do love our 310RL. Spent 3 months in it last summer, and a month in it this winter when we moved north. Great choice in my opinion, not too big, not too small, just right!

    310RL Bathroom Deep Cabinet

Several people have come up with good ideas for using/modifying that closet. This has been talked about quite a bit on the Facebook Alliance Owners forum. Check out that forum and maybe do a search. Jeff

Help needed. Our refrigerator is leaning

That sounds like a good idea. I am sure the method used depends on what type or brand of fridge you have in your specific unit. Ours is in a 2021, 310RL, and again, is the residential type, not the multi mode RV type. Jeff

Help needed. Our refrigerator is leaning

We finally fixed our refrigerator today, so I thought I would share the fix, and, how these residential refrigerators are actually installed. There are two "L" shaped metal brackets at the base, one in front of each fridge roller/foot at the front. This keeps the fridge from rolling forward out...

Black water (and gray water) valve issues

If no water comes out of the kitchen grey tank, you will know there is a problem quite soon, as the kitchen sink will not drain, and will overflow onto the floor. If it does not overflow in a few days, then that tank may be plumbed wrong, and is actually dumping into the other grey tank somehow...

Paradigm 310RL Interior Steps Motion Light

We have a 2021, 310RL, and it has the automatic step light. It is very handy in my opinion. Did not know they quit using that type light. Ours was built in the summer of 2021 I believe. Jeff

    Leaking Jack leaking

That sounds like a good plan.
  35. J. Thomas

    Leaking Jack leaking

If it is leaking at the bottom, you can check the bolts that hold the endcap on the cylinder. That is about it. It is probably a bad seal. At the top, a leak could be from a loose hose, again, that is about the only place up there. Jeff

    Refrigerator Leveling

I have just the opposite problem with our LG residential refrigerator, it is leaning out at the top. I asked on Facebook, and maybe on here, how to fix it, but no one was ever able to answer the question. Ours vibrated outward during a long rough road trip, and actually tilted forward enough...

Tow with a 2021, F350, diesel, long bed, SRW, crewcab, 4x4. Bought it new in April of 2021. Lucky to find it on a dealer's lot.

    2022 F-350

FYI: If anyone is looking for an F350 SRW, Karl Klement Ford, in Decatur, Tx. has two brand new ones in stock. One is loaded with a 6.5' bed and one is a more stripped down version with an 8' bed. You might want to check out their website if you are truck shopping. They are located about 30...

    2022 F-350

Wow, that is going to be a real truck there. That F450 should pull anything and stop anything. You don't see many of those unless they have a utility box on them, a welder on them, or are pulling a nice horse trailer. Jeff

    2022 F-350

I got lucky back in may, there were still a few pickups on the lots, but very few. I drove 30 miles to look at a GMC dually a dealer just gotten in.(Did not really want a dually, but was desperate by then.) I was early for my appointment, so I drove down the street to the Ford garage to see if...

Yes, worth the wait is correct. Enjoy your rig. Maybe we will see you on the road some day. Jeff

    2022 F-350

You will love it. We bought a 2021 F350 last May to pull our 310RL. We got the 4 door, diesel, longbed, SRW model. Can't even tell you are pulling a load, even in the mountains it has plenty of power, and stops well also. I really like the engine brake, when in mountainous areas.

    Leaking Jack leaking

If it is under warranty, they will provide a new jack for free. I have one that leaked and they just sent me a new one. Change out looks really easy and I plan to do it myself when the weather warms up.

Alliance Paradigm 385FL delivery from Assembly Line after our walk thru where issues were promised they’d be fixed prior to delivery! That was a LIE!!

We bought a 310RL last year. It has been very trouble free. I have had a couple of small issues, but the factory folks helped me out quickly. You are correct about getting things fixed by the dealer, in most cases. Dealers are generally worthless when it comes to any type of repair after the...

Help needed. Our refrigerator is leaning

Thank, but more questions. Those two brackets that hold the front rollers? Do you need a wrench to remove those? Then if I can push the unit back into a leveled up position, how do I "reclip those brackets? Do they snap into place, or do I rebolt/screw them back where they hold the unit? I do...

Help needed. Our refrigerator is leaning

After 1600 miles of travel on rough roads, I noticed our fridge is leaning forward. it is a residential, 3 door, LG model. It does not seem to have come out of it's spot, but is leaning forward. I can not physically push it back any, and the base is up against some type of angle iron-like...

I have not had this problem, probably because I have two batteries.

how to shut down residential refrigerator when not needed?

That is what I have been told before. I was just thinking maybe there was a way to do it without tearing into the cabinet wall every time I park the RV in my driveway for a few weeks. Weird that you can not just push a button and shut it down when it is not needed.

That will not work on mine. I have an "LG", and already tried that. Thanks though.
  52. J. Thomas

how to shut down residential refrigerator when not needed?

Can not even find the outlet. Someone said you have to disassemble the kitchen cabinet to get to it. I don't think the inverter really has anything to do with the fridge running, when it is plugged in to shore power in the winter driveway storage.
  53. J. Thomas

how to shut down residential refrigerator when not needed?

There is not a breaker marked "refrigerator". That was my first idea, but no go.
  54. J. Thomas

how to shut down residential refrigerator when not needed?

Bill, This does not do it. Turned off inverter at switch, but with RV plugged into shore power, fridge is still running. Another suggestion?? Jeff

Can I run the furnace when not plugged in to shore power, (battery power only).

We are hoping to move to SE Ohio in a few weeks. Plan to spend a few nights in the RV up there, while we are getting settled into the house. Do not yet have any plug there, for shore power. Sounds like I might need to hook up to the pickup and recharge the batteries on the RV every day, for a...

how to shut down residential refrigerator when not needed?

We have a 310RL with a residential refrigerator. In the winter, I store the trailer in our driveway, with trailer plugged into shore power. I do not need the fridge to run, however, there is no way to shut it down on it's control panel, and you can not easily access the plug to unplug it. I have...

Can I run the furnace when not plugged in to shore power, (battery power only).

Might need to spend some time in our Rv this winter, and may not have a place to plug into shore power. Can I run the furnace with battery power only. Or, would I need to get a generator? Thanks Jeff

    Hello

Hi. This is Jeff Thomas and my wife is Wallene. We live in Denton, Tx, just north of Dallas. We have a 2021 Alliance 310RL that is now 1 year old. This camper is great, and we spent all summer in it out in the mountains of New Mexico, to escape the heat here in Texas. We were ready to trade our...
