    Disc Brakes

In addition to Trent's answer I would suggest ordering one with disc installed at the factory. The disc brakes are hydraulic, so all wiring and plumbing are done in house. By plumbing I mean the hydraulic lines running from the pump to each wheel. I'm a believer in 'if the factory offers it...

SOLVED - Locked out (dead batteries in electronic entry door lock)

I wonder if they gave you the wrong keys. They might be the original keys before the lock was switched. A locksmith might be your only solution.

The left landing gear has to touchdown before the right one starts to drop

What it’s doing is correct. When the left makes contact with the ground and comes under pressure, then the right starts.

RESOLVED - warranty response is pure crap.

Sounds to me like you did everything right. Maybe try contacting Alliance again.

RESOLVED - warranty response is pure crap.

Your dealer is your first go-to. If no satisfaction from the dealer, then contact Alliance. I've read many cases that Alliance reimbursed the owner for parts and labor when a tech made a house call. I'm sure if you contacted Alliance (maybe again) and explained the entire situation from the...

Freshwater gauge will only read 2/3 full even when tank's completely full (water coming out of overfill)

Maybe keep that problem in mind if you have to have any other warranty work done. If you call Alliance and get a recording, they'll ask you to send an email with pics. If the problem is preventing us from camping, then hang on. At this point it's not stopping a camp out for you, it's an...

New 42v13 - one gray water tank not draining

I'd get the valve Jim is showing no matter what. I think dealers would get lots of praise if they'd just install one before the sale. I've heard that sometimes when the hole is cut for the drain line the 'plug' falls into the tank and it doesn't get fished out. Sometimes it works its way...

Freshwater gauge will only read 2/3 full even when tank's completely full (water coming out of overfill)

Jim has a good point. Also, do your other buttons read full? Grey, black, battery. If they don't read full either, then the problem may be behind the control panel, or wherever all the wires come together. If your unit is under warranty, this is a good time to get the dealer involved. Or if...

eBike rack - Rear bumper Class 2 receiver upgrade to Class 3?

It is possible to get an adapter to go from a 2 to a 3. Amazon has several styles. It will move your bike rack back a few inches tho. And I doubt it'll fix the weight problem.

SOLVED - Gateway/Router antennas wiring issue

I don't think there's such a thing a an extension kit for the wires. So other than opening the hole a bit or splicing the wires, I can't think of anything.

    Wire Chase

@bhidalgo I reread your post and realized you weren't asking about the wire chase. Sorry 'bout that. I was on the roof cleaning it yesterday and I noticed the solar plug is several feet away from the wire chase. Based on its location, I'd now have to say it goes down between one...

Under Stairs Vacuum port like Jayco has

We tried the Dyson stick we have at home in the 340. We liked it but it was a pain to store in our 340. We ended up getting a Swiffer and a hand vac. This combo works well for us.
  20. Whitewolf

    Wire Chase

Altho I can't say for sure, I believe the chase goes from the roof directly to the basement behind the panels. From there check to see if it runs between the support braces in the basement. I mean, that's the way I would do it if I was laying things out. We have a 340, so the layout should be...

    Waste Tank Schematics

I was having a problem with one of our vent pipes. I called Alliance and they emailed me a schematic of the complete drain plumbing system on our 340. I'm sure they would do the same for your Valor.
  22. Whitewolf

Water accumulating in sewer pipe despite system not being used.

The A/C condensation runs off the roof into your gutters and drips on the ground. I suspect the water came from Alliance or the dealer testing the system. I'm told Alliance does that on a semi-regular basis. The first thing I bought (and it was from the dealer the day we picked up the 340)...

    Putty Splotch Removal

I have one that popped out in the hallway of our 340. I have a 1/4" crown stapler, like what is used in the construction of our units, to use to fix it. If you don't have this tool, try carefully pulling the staple out and applying wood glue to the tines and inserting it back into the same...

RV riding nose high - help?

AP1, as Mike said, and as you can tell, you have a little squat going on, but personally I don't think it's gonna hurt. It looks sooooo much better than before.

RV riding nose high - help?

With the front lower you are slightly more aerodynamic. We're all still towing a brick. Are you able to post a new pic with the current setup?

    Opinions on slide out toppers.

I'm also a fan of slide toppers. I had them installed on our last 5r and when I order the 340, I had the factory install these. The only complaint I have is I don't think the factory mounted the topper high enough to the sidewall. They sit pretty flat.

How to reduce or eliminate hydraulic jack popping noise

Mine did ok after 1 quart, I would suggest adding a second quart. It won't hurt anything if you do.

RV riding nose high - help?

Rams are high to begin with, and then with a lift on top of that, It's going to be pretty tough to get the front any lower. I was able to get our nose lowered by lowering the Companion( I forget if it was 1 or 2 bolt holes) and raising the pin box 1 bolt hole. But then I'm stock height. My...

2023 Paradigm 310RL oven won’t stay lit with the door closed.

Just trying to figure this out. So, with the door open, even a crack, it stays lit? But then when you close the door it starts to go out? Have you tried to leave it lit with the door open for say, 15 minutes or so to see if it stays lit? There is an oblong vent hole in the back top of...

    Basement hatch doors

Gerbinator- I also am unsure what you are referencing. The propane doors swing to the front of the RV. This way, if a door comes loose while traveling, the wind will hold it closed.

    Pin Box Plate

I understand what you're trying to do, but that may be kinda hard unless the pad is perfectly level. As and example the campground we're in, I'm nose low due to a slope. The 382 behind us is nose high due to the same slope. Maybe tell us what you have for a truck and hitch and we can get...

    So SAD

Man Mark, that really sucks. We've not experienced problems that involves insurance. Yet. I would think that if your agent has a good relationship with the adjuster, that may help. It did with our house. To me, it doesn't have to be structural to need to be replaced. A gouge in the front...

    36V11 Suspension Upgrade

So far I'm I'm very happy with them. I installed the 'black' ones. Never measured the space between axle and frame. I held one up while the 340 was only supported by the front legs, simulating being hooked up. The Sumo Springs were longer than the space and I thought 'Great! I don't have to...

    Just Wanted

Dodge is considered > reliable than / Ford / GMC / Chevy for a dually platform ?

Where's the popcorn! :ROFLMAO: I can't say if Ram is more reliable than the others, but I will say this. When traveling in the midwest, when I see a carrier hauling a camper destined for a dealer, the overwhelming majority of trucks doing the pulling are Ram duelly's. Others may disagree...

Do the 3 A/C units have different BTU rating?

I'm not sure what you mean about 'the one with the heat'. All 3 of ours are 13,500 BTU's. I can tell you that in our 340, the 1st and 3rd are on the same 50 amp leg.

About to buy a used Paradigm 340RL

We really like the 340 floor plan. It looks like you've been doing your research and that will definitely pay off. We pull our 340 with a 21 Ram 3500 SRW without problems. But then, I don't have the extra weight of a gen, W/D or solar. The only thing I would suggest is to calculate your pin...

Will do. It won't be till the first week or so of January. At the second stop I'll un-winterize, install the filters and softener and then the springs. I really want to install them before we leave. The first 2 days is a little over 800 miles. Depends on how much I feel like laying under...

Front storage(gen location), auto level and both propane doors are 'Cam Locks'. The 'Slam Latch' locks are at the basement(garage, pass thru storage) doors and the garbage door. Basically if it has a silver wing nut style latch, it's a cam lock. If you pull the handle to open, it's a slam...
