To address the sway what is your tongue weight? Is it 12-15% of the trailers scaled gross weight? We are from Northeast Ohio bought our new trailer in January and in addition to multiple weekend trips have taken it to Tennessee for a week and did a three week trip to Utah. My wife and have have had trailers for over 20 years, and our Delta 321BH is the best one we have had so far. We love the layout, and while there have been some issues, every trailer we have ever owned has had issues. I have been happy with how Alliance has addressed issues and questions when I have contacted them directly. I have some things that I have fixed and some things that I would like to the dealer to address under warranty at the end of the camping season. It is a 3 hour round trip to the dealer, and I haven’t taken it back to them for anything yet. I do have a list for them in October when we are done for the season.
What I have fixed:
What I will ask dealer to address under warranty:
- bungee holding in grill broke - new part shipped by Alliance which I installed
- Troubleshooting for electrical short in 12v system - I the isolated problems and repaired one, and took the other out of service (bathroom fan) to restore power to the branch.
- latch broke on sewer hose storage - bought new part and replaced
- Kitchen sink was clogged from factory with pex trimmings. Removed screen and cleaned out.
- Added washer to black tank flush to fix leak.
Two other general observations: the dinette cushion backs don’t stay in place well despite coming from the factory with some Velcro. This is mostly just an annoyance. I also have more sway from this trailer than any other we have owned. It came with the optional rear AC, with adds some weight there, wTo adrees the sway . What is your tongue weight? understand why it is there, I would rather it be in front for this reason. We tow with a Chevy Silverado 2500 and I would not attempt my trailer with a half ton.
- the rear tires have excessive wear on inside, particularly on drivers side. I rotated for now, and will ask dealer to check axel.
- The door lock doesn’t’ seem quite right when I lock with the deadbolt. Maybe it is a bit out of alignment
- Something is coming up under the floor in front of the pantry.
Overall we have had a ton of fun this spring and summer and will address things as they come up. We love the layout, the quality construction and the features. The huge pass through storage is great. Love the closet in our bedroom too. I would buy another Delta.
Hi Oregon_Camper, we are new to the forum and are purchasing a new Delta 252RL next week. Our local dealer in Colorado is having it shipped from Utah and once it arrives I would love to have our own PDI list to use during our inspection. Would you mind sharing your PDI list with me? Much appreciated in advance! Can't help with Delta, as we have a Paradigm. However, I highly recommend you bring your own PDI list to the dealer when you go for inspection. You can grab my in the link below or search the internet for others.

That’s what you will have. You sound like an experienced realistic camper.Soooo, anyone who DOESN'T have this issue- the slide crushing the countertop extension? I'm well aware that most people don't post if they're not having an issue, but I guess I'd like to hear from a few anyway. Picking up our 262 in two weeks and admittedly a wee bit nervous. We came from two successive Grand Designs and had a great experience with both. Not completely trouble free, but minor stuff that I easily took care of. I'm hoping for the same here.
Bought our Delta 252RL in November of last year. Took it out and on the first trip had issues with the Black Tank Valve, which was not a pleasant experience. Got good customer support from Alliance at that time. Also had issues with the screen door alignment, looks like the whole door frame was misaligned from the factory. The pantry drawers were setup so that screw in the back of the drawer went into a hole in the wall of the camper. That was a very weird design. Our dealership just fixed that so there are magnets on the back of the drawers instead, to hold the drawers in place. Something that was not noticeable until we got the camper home was that the side of the camper was pushed out in one spot where someone from the factory had screwed in a screw to tight, while installing the bathroom medicine cabinet. Things like this should not get past QA inspection, in my opinion. Otherwise, we had a couple of minor issues, resolved by the dealership. But with warranty work, expect to have a wait in getting stuff fixed. We had to camper at the dealership for 2 months waiting for fixes.Hello from Colorado. We are about to pick up our new Delta 262RB TT and are wondering if other 262RB owners are satisficed with the unit. Have you had any problems, what do you like best about the unit, and do you have any suggestions about maintenance and up keep. I would greatly appreciate any advice from you seasoned owners. Thank-you in advance.
Agree, this should be a day one upgrade ( or standard equipment) IMHO of course. Additionally, I recommend a clear cap that is equipped with a hose nipple outlet. This way you have visibility to anything that might have leaked by and it can be addressed before it surprises you.Welcome, and sorry about the problems. AWAYS install a valve on the outlet to drain, leave it closed. If one of the gray tanks or black tank fail, you don't take a shit shower(LOL)
Bryan I like your clear cap idea. But novice campers may freak out at the thought of waste water spilling out. Convincing them its just a small amount maybe difficult.Agree, this should be a day one upgrade ( or standard equipment) IMHO of course. In case anyone is wondering what I am talking about. The link is below.Bryan I like your clear cap idea. But novice campers may freak out at the thought of waste water spilling out. Convincing them its just a small amount maybe difficult.
Even the using a twist on valve maybe hard for rookies to understand.
Why would a residual amount of water leak out? I thought the tank was sealed!
I agree your idea is beneficial, but I have the experience to understand why,
convincing a novice that some sewage is going to routinely spill out may scare them away from RV'ing altogether and cause them to imagine a cousin Eddie style disaster!
