Satisfaction and complaints

Hello from Colorado. We are about to pick up our new Delta 262RB TT and are wondering if other 262RB owners are satisficed with the unit. Have you had any problems, what do you like best about the unit, and do you have any suggestions about maintenance and up keep. I would greatly appreciate any advice from you seasoned owners. Thank-you in advance.

Can't help with Delta, as we have a Paradigm. However, I highly recommend you bring your own PDI list to the dealer when you go for inspection. You can grab my in the link below or search the internet for others.

Love the layout and the features but very unhappy with quality. As of now we are dealing with:
Recliner is bent so can't recline,..
Grey closing valve leaks
Huge gap in door to frame letting heat out or cold in
Backslash bubbling
Black rince adapter leaks so water squints all over storage when using
Emergency windows screen isn't flush so any bug can climb in if used
Something is popped up under floor in front of frig
Frig quit working last week
Outside BBQ in not level. The slide out mount is either bent or not mounted correct.
My camper is 2.5 month old and at this point I'm very frustrated with it for the price And would not recommend

WOW, so sorry to hear of all your problems. The unit must have been built on a Monday. Is the company fervently addressing your problems? They boost the best in customer support. This is a BIG surprise to me as I have watched numerous videos on their product construction and warranties. This is a BIG eye opener for us. I do appreciate you taking the time to inform me of your dissatisfaction with the rig. I am reconsidering my decision. Thanks Havoc406!

that is a long list of issues for sure. Did you do you own PDI or did you allow the dealer to do it? Feels like a lot of these should have been found/fixed before the RV left the dealers lot.

I did not do my own as I had no clue but I will say issues just keep popping up. Poor quality in material and installer is what I'm finding. Just today I went to close bathroom door and it got hung up. After investigating the cause I fing the rear roller hanger screw pulled from door. Not something a heck list would reveal but shows up after a few month cause of poor material and quality control I feel.
So far no planned solutions for issues discovered the day camper arrived home and deal seems to push blame anywhere but there's.

I forgot the issue that started this off. My ext counter top was crushed by the slide. Found and notified the first day but yet still no plan to fix other then it's on warranty claim.

We discovered this the day we first looked at a 262. During our walk through I pointed out to the sales rep there was a wear mark on the edge of the dinette. Upon further study we noticed a smudge on the counter extension directly across from the smudge. We closed the slide and discovered the cause. The sales rep immediately called the area rep and told him about the problem. He informed us that the issue will be addressed an corrected. We decided to hold off on our purchase until the '25 models came in to see if the boo-boo's we discovered were corrected. First year production anything's have their plethora of problems that the following year corrects (usually).

Soooo, anyone who DOESN'T have this issue- the slide crushing the countertop extension? I'm well aware that most people don't post if they're not having an issue, but I guess I'd like to hear from a few anyway. Picking up our 262 in two weeks and admittedly a wee bit nervous. We came from two successive Grand Designs and had a great experience with both. Not completely trouble free, but minor stuff that I easily took care of. I'm hoping for the same here.

We picked up our 262 two weeks ago. Issues found during PDI: outside storage door in slide and same side door on pass through are tweaked so they must be massaged into closing. Blackout blind at dining table over extended and won't roll back up (was that way when we walked through). Minor misalignment on two cabinet doors. Issue found during more testing when we got it home (Alliance take note): the wall control for the water heater died (or so I thought). After some testing with my meter I discovered one of the leads between the heater and the control was open. I checked the splice point in the wall but both mechanical splices were solid. I pulled the bottom drawer next to the oven to get a look at the wiring there and found one lead had pulled out of the splice. The wires were not secured out of the way of the drawer. I surmise that sliding the drawer in and out hooked that wire and pulled it out of of the splice. I reconnected the wire then secured all of the wires clear of the drawer. Issues found during our first campout this weekend: backsplash bubbling, black tank dump handle very hard to operate (more of a concern for long term, will the handle break?). Overall we are very happy with it. We carefully watched for the issue with the slide vs counter extension but no problem there. I am really surprised that there has been no statement from Alliance regarding the failing backsplash in this forum as it seems to be a very common problem. I presume they do watch the conversations here? Our last two rigs were Grand Design (2970 trailer, 337 fifth wheel) and were excellent. But as with all rigs there were a few issues that were corrected by me or by the dealership. This is our fifth RV over the years. In general I don't have high expectations for quality and am very comfortable in doing my own repairs as the dealerships are not really very responsive. But again, overall we're happy with the unit. Hopefully Alliance will step up with some kind of correction for the backsplash as it seems to be extremely common. Or I'll be installing a new one 😁

My dining table was making contact with the island on my 370FB. I just remounted the table top and problem solved. This was the beginning of many other OBVIOUS items, that the quality control in the factory and dealers do not exist. If it does, they are unqualified to do the job. When you pair that with engineering choices concerning what fasteners they use to join materials, the problems can be many. Based on this forum, the only semi happy owners are the ones who can do their own repairs. Unfortunately, this is industry wide and no legislation to regulate the industry is going to help. It may help to think of the trailer as a fancier tent system. The dreams of having a fancy house you can tow down the road without problems is a utopia. The number one must, is having plumbing fittings, roof tape, various screws, and an assortment of electrical connectors. This makes repairs less stressful and much faster when they happen. The punch list (PDI) is good for at least making sure every system is working and worth the time. I didn't do it, but reading the forums says it was necessary. I think I got lucky.

Excellent report mtalcon, thanks for the reply. As you stated all RV's have their quirks, they are mass produced. But your issues seem minor, I hope Alliance follows through with their commitment and addresses your concerns. Let me know if they do. Thanks again!

We have had delta 262rb in second season now and we love it. The only problem we are having is with the black tank can’t seem to get the lights to read empty. But we only go out for two to three days then home so maybe we need to use it more. But never less we love it I wish it had auto leveling. Next delta will get it. I have had three other brand of trailers for me delta is the best I have owned. We live in saskatchewan Canada.

My method on the black tanks is to dump and flush, but always leave some water5-10gal in them for the ride home and back to campground. I dump on way in as well. Tank gauges are notoriously inaccurate.
