I guess I'm a must have electric guy. But that has a lot to do with the climate. There are not many if any open spaces to .boondock on the east coast. No BLM land or anything like that. It's also hot in the summer, AC is a must have.
However if I were in the west I can easily see me taking a few boondocking trips.
The power went out at the campground last trip. We had to rely on inverter power to stream movies for the night. It was sort of neat to have electric power with no generator and no noise. It was my first time actually relying on inverter power.
I can see how having a nice solar set up could be a game changer.
