310 RL - Is the MORyde independent suspension worth doing?

I’m also curious as to which replacement pads you went with. I had to have my factory D-Maxx pads changed out at 7K miles, the brake caliper slide pins were factory installed dry and were causing the calipers to stick which in turn burned up the pads and one caliper. MorRyde quickly sent out all new rotors, pads and a new caliper. I have also lost a slide pin from the same position 3 times, installed by the factory, then a Mobil tech who did the brake warranty work and the a dealership tech. After requesting and receiving a new caliper mounting bracket that pin has stayed in place. Last week I found another slide pin to be missing on a different wheel, fortunately I had 2 spares from all of the previous slide pin drama, now I only have one spare. To hopefully keep all of the slide pins in place going forward I pulled them one at a time, cleaned them, cross drilled the bolt heads, relubed, installed then safety lock wired them all to prevent having the back out.

Even with all the issues that I have had with the brakes I still think that both the independent suspension and disc brakes are well worth their cost, the trailer handles, rides and stops great! Our trailer is a ‘24 385FL Paradigm.

They sent me a set of Kevlar pads, also Deemax, that I have to have installed. Did you go with another brand? If so, what did you go with?
They sent EVERTHING to do entire system over. New pads were still DeeMax, but they had to also replace all 4 rotor/hub as well. Hard to really see the damage in the image below, but after inspection (and images sent to DeeMax) the decision was to replace with all new parts vs trying to turn the rotors, as the damage was so deep, turning wasn't a valid option.

Holy crap. That is significant.

I thought that I would jump on board here. We have a 2025 Avenue 32RLS. I just spent a few snow and ice packed days at Morryde having IS and disc brakes installed. While I know that our Avenue isn’t the big heavy unit like the Paradigms and Valors, we love our Avenue and it’s the last RV that we are going to have. We had IS installed on our previous Grand Designand I’m thoroughly convinced that there will be less of a chance of things rattling loose and breaking due to the 5-1/2” of travel on the terribly rough roads that we all travel on. While I was there in had the RotoFlex pin box swapped out for a Morryde rubber pin box and since the old axles were six lug and I had to upgrade the wheels anyway I upgraded the E Load Range tires to G/14 ply tires for some piece of mind.
The RV rides better than the truck does now. I hit some unavoidable potholes on the way home on 80/94 and while it jarred the truck a glance at the camera and mirrors showed the trailer just gliding over the same potholes.
Our previous RV had HydraStar EOH braking system but Morryde now uses a DeeMaxx system. I don’t notice any difference other than the HydraStar didn’t want to play nice with my GMC. We kept getting a “brakes disconnected” message on the screen which I guess was a pretty common occurrence on newer GMC’s and Chevy’s. We finally solved the problem by installing a diode between the pump and the truck but we didn’t have any of those problems with the DeeMaxx system.
Our RV is back in storage and we won’t be touching her until the spring and I don’t ever want to be towing in the ice and snow again.
We love our 32RLS and feel that it’s a keeper so we treated her to some nice equipment.

I forgot to add one of the most important factors. In the IS process they raised the rear of the our Avenue 6-1/2” so now it rides level!

Do you have to go back to Indiana for any maintenance, repairs, alignments?
Repack the bearings after one year or 12K miles. It doesn’t have to be done at Morryde though. I suspect if it needs an alignment it would be best to take it to Morryde. I’m in Northeastern IL so it’s about a 3 hour trip, in good weather.
