Cordless impacts are awesome. One problem, they wreak havoc on these lug nuts that have the outside casing. Most of the time splitting them.
I use a 24 inch breaker bar to try to help minimize the damage.
Been using TST now for I guessing 12 years. Had to dial in the settings to compensate for temperature/pressure changes during travel days. But it has been awesome.
It is part of my pre-travel checklist to check tire pressures.
It has set quiet for years…… until last trip. And then it was worth...
Does your spindle have a grease fitting where you can pump grease into the bearings? I heard that those system can be problematic and can blow out the rear seal.
Haha. I tell my wife it will help her dry sense of humor. We’ll see how that goes.
I agree with @stanburnb A shunt will help keep track of all your usage and your state of charge.
When I installed our lithium/inverter set up, we did a trial night running just off battery. Watching the increase of amp draw every time we turned on an appliance, lights, fridge, etc. We also wanted to run my wife’s CPAP machine as well. I was rather surprised on the amperage draw with the...
I’ve ran into this problem quite often. Especially when I haven’t used the water pump in a while.
-I set all the valves to “sanitize”
-I hook up a short hose that only reaches from the connection to the bucket on the ground.
-Then I hold the hose end up in the air and use a small funnel and...
We wrapped them from the outside. We tried doing it from the inside. But it just did not look right. As soon as we wrapped from the outside. We knew we liked it. We are starting our fourth season with the wrap. From 100° weather to negative degree weather and not one bubble has formed.
We wanted a touch of blue in our living area of our Avenue. So we, Vinyl wrapped the glass. We did this before we went on our first trip. We could not stand seeing objects through the cabinets. Worked perfectly to hide the frosted glass.
RV Hydraulic disc brakes have been around far longer than the common solar systems on RVs. And along with the disc brake actuators, there has been residential refrigerators, running off of inverters, pulling power from the battery. And this was well before lithium batteries were common.
I plan on something similar. For now I just used a spare 30amp RV cord and plugged directly into the inverter.
I’m probably going to hardwire an RV outlet from the inverter to the inside basement wall and come up through the access point like you did.
We just did a test night with our new 2000w inverter/300 AH battery bank.
12 hour. – 8:30pm - 8:30am.
Converter shut off.
No Solar charge
Started with 100% SOC
87ah useage.
items running
-Various interior lighting
-Wi-Fi router
-TV + Roku- about 5 hrs
-2nd tv for about an hour...
We have our auxiliary tank connected to the filler neck about 8 inches from the cap. So it will fill to that point almost all the time. And we’ve never had an issue.
We have an Avenue 30RL. Not sure what your existing battery box looks like, but I was able to fit three 100 AH batteries in the factory box.
I’m in the process of modifying it to allow for additional height space to put in heater pad for temperature control.
Yes. When Lippert first introduced the system, it was called the “Level Up” System. We had it installed at the Lippert factory when we were at the Heartland RV National Rally in 2015.
When I reinstall the two batteries into the trailer. I tie both batteries together in parallel. Make sure power disconnect switch was turned to off. I would then attached the red cable to the positive of the first battery. Then connect the black cable to the negative of the other battery. Then...
Our rig only came solar prepped. So I am starting from scratch with a small, budget friendly system to use on certain occasions. Clearly not intended full-time and every day use. I'm going to just run two outlets off of our 2000 W inverter. One to the bedroom and one to the TV area in the...
We have a 2022 Avenue. No major issues that were concerning. (Knock on wood). It has been a great trailer.
I believe there was issues with some trailers with the rear wall, not being attached properly. But I believe Alliance has a fix for that. And I believe it was hit and miss on which...
A 6x6 vinyl fence post sleeve from Lowe's. Then added a vinyl gutter inside it. Slides perfectly inside the fence post. Painted black. Mounted to the frame I beams.
Our Avenue has a standard round sewage hose tube in the rear. But we also added a 6" square x 8' long plastic post holder. It can store up to 40' of hose. Added a pull out tray inside it. One of the best mods we have done.
We have a GMC with a 6.75' bed also. We pull an Avenue 30 RLS. With a standard.(non-slider.) B&W hitch. We have not encountered any cab/cap clearance issues in almost 3 seasons.
We were just at Caledonia State Park in PA and had to jackknife it pretty tight. And there was no clearance issue.
Nope. Stock everything. B&W hitch (non-slider). It does squat the truck a little. But nothing that is of concern. Rides smooth, with no chucking.
Just hit 4000 miles. Most towing.
Pin weight will be your downfall with the 2500. The payload will be printed on the inside door jam of the driver side. It's possibly 3000lbs.
We have a 2023 GMC SLE. And the payload is 3280lbs. So you're Denali probably has a few extra features, which adds weight and takes away payload.
We have a 22 30RLS also.
We did add a second group 27 battery. I did not trust the Alliance plastic battery box to hold the weight, so I reinforced it with a cage to support the box.
The two group 27s will not fit completely down in the battery box. As it tapers inward slightly. But I put a 2...
We added a center support running from side to side. As well as added additional fasteners around the sides.
We did not have any shelf failures, but we could see the shelves bow when we added weight of canned good and other heavier items.
Wow. That is definitely running "nose high" for sure.
We have a 23 GMC 2500 HD. Completely stock. About 6-7 inches of bed rail clearance and our Avenue sets real close to level.
Not sure if it would be the same. But our Avenue did not have a sticker for the backer plate either. I was told that the wall had a metal backer plate. I used a magnet to find it in the wall. Worked perfect.
We've been really pleased with the 30 RLS. We like the layout. It is shorter in length, which has been very nice to maneuver and some of the tighter campgrounds. But with three slides. It has plenty of storage and room inside.
