1st Pic - Is the floor with no waves in it....the mission turned out possible!
2nd Pic - Side tables and sit/Stand desk is back in place
3rd Pic - An example of how handy the earlier linked Rope Cams are. The Step revolution bracket was sprung, so I was able to plumb them sides before drilling the door jam.
4th Pic - Step Revolution installed...NO MORE LADDER to get in....

Tomorrow, I am placing the island base. I am going to play with whether I can move it enough, so I can access the freezer door with the slides in. Another excellent opportunity to mess something up..LOL

Looks great!
Please let us know if you have any luck gaining access to the freezer by relocating the island a bit.

Looking at the original base location, I think it can be done. Lights are a good point concerning the visual aspect, but I will just blame Alliance for that..LOL. I'll take the heat Alliance, but I would rather have access to my freezer when the slides are in.

The Heating duct, is just a hole, with no real connection. I can just trim out some of the sheet metal and actually have a chance to tape up the connection to the floor. The arrow points to the open hole Alliance taped. There is no sheet metal on the end, so basically a top and bottom with no sides.

Slides will get a workout today!

RockDr896,
When I had our island base off a few weeks ago, I enlarged the floor outlet hole as much as I could to match the metal plenum in the base. I also located some nice self expanding weather stripping at Lowes . It has adhesive strip on one side and I cut 4 strip to match the metal plenum . When the base is installed, the weather strip expands out of the plenum and provides a nice positive seal around the floor opening. I would recommend you do the same to maximum your airflow.

Good idea!

Island is in and I was able to move the Island enough, so I can access my lower freezer door!! The plumbing is going to line up just fine. I am placing a stronger board for the cabinet floor. I think this configuration will allow for more storage actually. I am going to run the water in the back corner. The lights do not look out of place either. Both lights hang over the sink area now.

I took BryanValRox's suggestion on the expansion foam. Thank's Bryan! I taped the inside of air junction box to protect the foam. This thing is air tight now!

Now I just need to do some trim and put some stuff back, and hook up the plumbing and electrical. I am going to call this job a wrap!!

Glad the weather stripped worked out as well for you as it did for me. It sure looks like the same stuff and wow does it ever expand.
Congratulations on achieving your goal of accessing that freezer with the slide in. That will provide packing and unpacking benefits for years to come.

Your hard work is paying off, congratulations, things look great! Make sure you carve out some time to go camping!!😂
