I think you are spot on. I think I read/heard Brinkley is/will be using harnesses.

I believe that I read that Grand Design was switching to harness. Maybe others might follow.
Personally, I consider moving to harnesses a great idea.
However, they too can come with problems if not designed, routed and secured properly .

Lets be fair here. Alliance does use color coordinated wiring, which is labeled in your circuit breaker door.

Would a full diagram be nice to have SURE would. But using the wiring color chart is also helpful.

Totally agree that diagrams or at least a line/block drawing would be nice to have.

I also understand and have leveraged the value of the color coded wiring. However, I would lobby for an additional improvement. Using colored and numbered wiring helps provide the certainty you are looking for when chasing down issues.
