Shade Questions

I have a couple a shade questions for you folks.

Has as anyone figured out a way to hold the bottom bar on shades from banging (when fully pulled down) around when towing? Hopefully it will also stop the shades from rolling up by themselves as we tow. Sometimes when the shades roll up, they go up so far that we have trouble getting a hold of the bottom bar so we can pull them down. Has anyone found a pull down tab or "gizzmo" that we can easily grab to pull them down? Lastly, we own a 2025 Delta 292RL and we have issues with the shade on the drivers side in the bedroom. Every time we open the dresser drawers it hits the round bar at the bottom, unless you hold it out of the way as you pull the drawer open.

I know these are all extremely minor issues to have. We absolutely love our Delta 292RL. We've towed it almost 7000 miles since we've owned it and have not really had any real significant issues!

We experience the same issue from time to time.

There are adjustments on the end of the shade rollers to adjust speed at which they raise and their travel.
The rub is that you have to remove them from the valance to get access to the adjustments. Unfortunately then you no longer have a reference point to adjust them to.

The only good way I can thing of to adjust them is to get another set of brackets and mount them to a framework outside of the trailer and measure a reference distance as they would normally be installed and adjust the travel to that distance and then reinstall back into the valance.

We are 3 seasons in and I still haven’t gotten around to working thru this issue. maybe this winter!

We stuck small, thick, adhesive furniture pads on each end of the bar. They are about an inch round pads that would go under the legs of chairs, tables, etc. They keep the metal bars from banging against the window frame. We also have curtain compression rods under each valence so the shades are tight against the window, keeps the RV darker and warmer or cooler.

Heard someplace that take a small pool noodle and cut in 2-3 inch sections. Place one on each side of the bottom pull down bar.
Bouncing around won't hurt and thing and if they roll up the noddle will prevent them from rolling all the way up.
We put ours up when traveling.

Have been thinking of doing the same thing but not only the spring bars, but indend to hang some curtains from said spring bars.
Saw some pictures of a 32RLS with curtains hung that way and it look awesome!

Depending on types of curtains off tension rods inside valance be aware it may “crowd“ the shade functions. We wound up moving ours to face of valance on surface mounted rods,,,

Yes that thought has occurred. Would have to be pretty thin currtains. Also have thought about a spacer behind the valance to give more room in front of the roller shade.

I believe Alliance recommends traveling with all blinds up. If not you run the risk of having the weight flopping around and the whole thing valance and all will go flying. Not sure what reason would be to leave them down? Just wondering?

I make a point especially in hot weather to leave the shades down to keep the heat out. The shades block the sunlight which blocks a lot of heat and curtails the heat Build up while traveling. Granted the trailer is still hot when we arrive. However it would only be that much worse if all the shades were up.

Same...we drive with shades down...regardless of weather.

Never me? Thats funny.

never found it to help enough on heat to be worth the damage risk.
I have kept my shades down When traveling the entire time I have owned this rig and not experienced any damage.
For the record I only have the single blackout shade I do not have the dual shades with the daylight shade.
