Satisfaction and complaints

In case anyone is wondering what I am talking about. The link is below.

The clear cap will let you know that there is water there ready to spill out, however can you really see how much water is present.
Is it a small amount like a quart or so. Or is it 10 gallons? If its a large amount what are you going to do about It? catch in a bucket ?.If a bucket will fit beneath discharge pipe...and then what?
A twist on valve allows you to attach a sewer hose without getting your hands wet with sewage water. A cap will likely expose you to the sewage at some point.

Lantley, I totally agree that a valve at the end of the line adds protection and as I said earlier should be standard equipment or a day 1 upgrade. I actually have one installed and I chose to cap it with a clear version equipped with a drain port. My strategy was to avoid any surprise by having a visual reference in case there was leakage that made its way to the outlet. Yes, it would need to get by two valves in my case, but my clear cap IMHO of course allows me to manage any leaks easily.

To debate your main point of how much could be present.

I would say this, assuming someone didn’t install an end of line valve and only installed a clear cap.
No matter the amount in waiting, I would certainly rather have awareness and be able to manage the event, then be surprised by a rush of black or gray water when removing the standard black plastic end cap.

Good Point! I can certainly agree a clear cap will be more beneficial than a standard black cap that you can't see thru.
Having advanced warning that water is present is certainly better than no warning at all!

Manual twist On valve and a clear elbow is what I use. Then it does not matter how much is backed up. My main valves have leaked for some time, I will be fixing those soon, but I will continue with the added valve and elbow. Cheap insurance. One black water shower is enough.
I have a similar set up with a manual twist on valve and a clear flush King.
I don't believe tank built in tank sprayers work and they are basically a gimmick. (subject for another time). So I use a Flush King to flush tanks. In addition to flushing tanks it allows me to see the contents of the tank as they flow past.
