I put the phone magnifier on it and could read it then 😂 manual it is confusing I arrows to gel which is what I have but I don’t think it sets unless I hold down enter button
Correct after getting the setting correct you have to hold the rh arrow for about 3 seconds.

If I have 36v at pv means the solar panels are sending voltage right? Could I unscrew the terminals on front of controller to reset controller instead of getting on roof? Some research said to check solar panel I checked solar plus terminal and moving probe around could sometimes get 12 volts

E0 is a normal condition and an indication you are in the diagnostic mode. A left or maybe an up arrow press should exit that mode.
I don’t recommend you disconnecting anything if your are not comfortable working with electricity.
If you can’t get the display to return to normal, I would recommend contacting Renogy tech support.
Sorry , I couldn’t get the ball over the goal line for you.

Well, I can’t really say for sure. It would depend on the logic within the controller.
Please keep us posted.

Well I talked to Renogy support and rebooted by disconnecting unit and reconnecting it and has been working so far. Knock on wood. Do not know what caused it but tech said rebooting fixes most of time.

Glad you got it worked out! Have you double checked your settings to make sure that they are all correct, given all of the button pushing that was going on.

I have 2 AGM batteries. Tried to set to 24 volt but it reverted back to 12 volt. I think it auto senses 12 or 24? With batteries wired in tandem but terminating in 2 post is that why it reads 12volt? When I re hooked up it was already on gel.

Your RV should, be based on a 12 volt system. Your batteries should be hooked in parallel. (Positive to positive, negative to negative) this provides increased amp capacity without increasing the voltage. If hooked in series, positive to negative, the voltage would increase to 24. You need 12 volts.
