Microwave Suffocated in 292RL

The Greystone microwave in our brand new 2026 Delta 292RL is operating exactly as it should. By this I mean its thermal device is interrupting power long enough for the unit to cool. This is a safety feature designed into every brand of microwave product. The problem in our 292RL is that the appliance placement in the cabinet's cavity does not offer any space for the heat to escape. Thinking this can be a simple fix involving trim work to provide venting. Anyone have suggestions?

On our 340RL, there is a factory vent. I have seen others without a vent and it just dumps the air back into the cabinet. During the last National Rally and one PNW Rally, there was a service offered that would install a vent in your RV.

Out of complete curiosity, how long do you need to run the microwave for it to trip out on the thermal limit?
Is there anything in the manual that calls out clearance requirements for heat ventilation?

Is it ducted? If it is and the TC is tripping, I can almost promise that they have the vent ducting orientation wrong (vertical vs horizontal vs recirculating). If it is not ducted then it has to be in the recirculate mode.

Does it only happen after the stovetop or oven has been operating or does it cutoff say making a bag of popcorn?
