MaxxAir Fan Vent Lid

Hello everyone, just a little public service announcement tonight.

Be sure that you regularly inspect your vent covers to ensure that they are not cracked.

Upon return from our last trip, I got up on the roof for my post trip inspection and noticed that both of my vent lids were cracked in the exact same place.

IMHO, this has to be a design defect, as the motor really seems to pull them closed with some force before it shuts off. You can see that the crack is concaved and at a support rib where the arm attaches.

A phone call to MaxxAir, resulted in a no questions asked, no hassle replacement at no charge to me. I had them both in my hands in less than a week.

I received excellent customer service from the representative that handled my case.
All that was required was a photo of the fan serial numbers. You have to twist the screen latches and remove the inside screen, the s/n tags are under the screen flange.

Hey Bryan just to be clear, you are referring to the actual lid of your exhaust fan. I assume you do not have Maxx air covers over the entire fan
