Macerator toilet operation

We have a 2024 Paradigm 385FL with a macerator toilet(Sanimarin). Does anyone know the proper way to use the control panel. There is an Eco button, a Normal button and an Empty button.

Anyone with this toilet that can share their experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bruce.

Grassjohn,

Thanks for the link. We are going out next week and wanted to be sure we understand the operation.

After reading the operation in the installation manual, we are still not sure this thing is working right. Just to test it we pushed the normal button, the pump starts and runs but the water does not evacuate. Same with the ECO button. If we press the Empty button, water is added and then we push Normal it appears to evacuate. We followed the instructions to max the time and water level. Still does not seem right. Anyone have any idea about what might be wrong?
Thanks,
Bruce

Hey Bruce, we have the Sanimarin in our Paradigm. The best way that we got it to flush effectively is to hold the “empty” button to fill it with more water then press either “eco” or “normal” depending on the use. Either way, filling it with more water seems to help it flush better

The only issue we’ve had is that the motor got a little “bogged down” one time and kept blowing fuses when you’d flush it. I wound up changing its 15 amp fuse for a blade-style 15 amp breaker. Since then, It hasn’t done it again. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Follow-up to the macerator toilet not working. We were at the Rally in Goshen last week and had it corrected. The brain in the basement was wired incorrectly, the wires were placed on the correct terminals and now works Great!

So could you share what wires on what terminals? Ours just doesn’t seem right.

Johnsonfishcamp,

See picture below:

This is the 'brain' that is in the storage area in the back driver's side corner. You have to take the screws off the edge of the wood covering to access. There are no wires on the seawater pump terminals. On the opposite end is the control panel terminals, the twisted black and white wires from the push button control go on the positive (red) and negative (black) terminals. Also on this negative terminal, place small white wire and the pink wire. For the rest, follow the picture. The macerator actually works GREAT now.
Good luck,
Bruce

In the above statement where I said black and white wires from the push buttons, it should have said black and red wires.

We were having a similar problem with macerator toilet not working in rear bathroom 2024 395DS and we were provided with some wiring info that 100% solved our issued, as simple as pulling a fuse and moving a few wires on control box. working perfect now. Thanks Alliance for helping us sort this out. attached is before and after pics on exactly what needs to happen.

Finally we ordered a new circuit board so it started to work just flushes differently than before
Now for the problem The red light behind the base of the toilet has been blinking since it stopped working
We have flushed tanks numerous times filled let set overnight, used dawn soap Unhooked yellow wire
We have also contacted Domestic with great difficulties got run around and no help

Would you be able to post pictures of your controller and light your talking about? Also a picture of the 7640 tag might help resolve your issue.

I believe that your units light is indicating that your black tank is full. While that might or might not be true, I believe that is the purpose of the light. The light if hooked up to the sensor, is designed to tell the user that the tank is full and locks out operation. So you will need to investigate the circuit and the tank sensor to see if things are hooked up and operating properly.

Theda,

The level sensor on the macerator toilet gets the feedback from the sensors on the black tank. The black tank sensors are unreliable at best. We disconnected the sensor leads on the macerator toilet brain, you will find it in the left rear storage area under left rear corner below the toilet.
Ours has worked like a charm since. If you manage your black tank as you normally would, you will not have any issues.

Blow up the picture below. You remove the 50% and the 100% wires from the unit. Just remember that macerator will run even if the tank is full once the wires are removed.

Hope this helps,
