LOUD water pump

Hi all. We are working out the bugs on our 2026 Delta 252RL, and one thing that stands out is how loud the water pump is while we are boondocking. It functions perfectly, but it is the loudest WP we have ever heard; does anyone else experience this?

Any chance that rubber mounting isolators might make a difference.
You could unscrew it from the mounting surface as a test to see if it makes a difference.

First determine where the noise is originating; Is it the pump vibration at the mount, or the rigid PEX lines as they vibrate onto other elements of the structure. I have had to use soft foam isolation blocks where the PEX is vibrating on other PEX lines or cabinets, etc. Is the pump mounted on rubber bushings? If not you can buy vibration dampening bushings on Amazon; I bought some that are use to isolate vibration from air conditioner units. Finally, you can look at using soft line hoses at the pump that will isolate the hard connections of PEX. A kit is sold online that provides all the parts you may need.

Our pump only had 3 screws installed and one of them was driven at an angle that never caught the flooring.
Repositioning the pump, installing all 4 mounting screws and isolating both piping and wiring significantly quieted the pump.
Note that all of this could have been performed during initial installation, but wasn’t.

Was the pump not making this noise during your PDI? Glad you found an easy fix.

My thought on the water pump noise is a little noise is OK actually desirable.
I understand a loud noisy pump can be annoying,
But I like knowing when the pump is running. More than once the pump noise has alerted me to a problem. Either a faucet was left on by the kids, or there was a leak, or something dripping .The the pump noise Let me know water was running.
I'm OK with a quiet pump but I don't want a silent pump

We quieted ours down a lot with the flex hoses off the pump and strapping the pex in different ways to get it off the substructure or other lines. if you isolate the thing vibrating (Pump) from other rigid-ish materials, it looses a lot of is transmission. I also added an accumulator but honestly it was more of a PIA than it helped anything. We frequently changed elevation by a few thousand feet and the pressure change in the accumulator always had to be adjusted to the point where I just let all the air out of it to "bypass" it. maybe i never set it up correctly but i got tired of messing with it.

Wow. I had that issue on my last trailer. Annoyto say the least. My new delta 2026rb water pump is whisper quiet. The fridge on the other hand makes terrible noise. Only hear it when it’s quiet so I close the door to the bedroom.
