Leveler Fill Reservoir

Hi, just bought a new Valor 35A14. Does anyone know where to find the Lippert Leveler Fill Reservoir? We've looked in all the compartments and haven't seen it. Nothing in the owners manual that we could find.

You might need to remove a false wall in order to see/access it.

On our 310RL, it is to the RH side of the Battery behind a removeable wall.

Be sure to head Jim's warning above.

It would be nice if Alliance ( we have a 310RL ) designed a front storage door like the Montana units where you can inspect the hydraulic fluid with the trailer attached. I am currently looking into a bluetooth unit to monitor the fluid.

Once you check that it’s at the proper level one time with the jacks up and hitched up go ahead and unhitch. Just the landing gear. No rooms or leveling other than with the landing gear. Get you a good Sharpie and mark the new, lower, level. That’ll be your new “Full”.

That only works if you unhitch in the exact same location to the exact same unhitching height. It is far from foolproof or exact

Lantley, that is a great point, I guess I just assumed George was suggesting that it would always be referenced to his storage location, where maintenance is normally done.

You raise an excellent point about the variability.

@Lantley I'm not sure the fluid level has to be that exact or foolproof. 🤷🏼‍♂️
I admit I could add that the first level check should be done while level — whether hitched or on jack stands. The second check for marking should be on a fairly level area as level as the landing gear can get. I guarantee you'll be close enough for all in tents and porpoises. 😉

George I do think your idea has merit and is useful. However it is not equivalent to having all jacks and slides retracted.
As long as the end user understands your method will have some variation and fudge factor involved your method is worthwhile
.
It is a good enough for government approach, which can be useful if your system is malfunctioning.
Close enough really depends on what your trying to diagnose. If your trying to determine if you have a leak you will want the level mark to be 100% accurate vs. close enough for government

Are you asking about the hydraulic system? If so, the cap is on top of the unit, inside the battery compartment.

NOTE...only fill to the full line with ALL SLIDES IN and JACKS UP.
Ok, thanks we will look for it there. We did not see a removable false wall but we will look again. I will let you know if I don't find it.. Probably couldnt see it if it was on top of the hydraulic unit.
