Exterior maintenance/wash on the road?

We have been on the road for several weeks and with weather and road grime we’ve noticed our rig is looking pretty dirty. Has anyone used a truck wash like Blue Beacon or do most stick to a self serve car wash with the hose and foaming brush?

I don't use either of those. I wash it myself as needed and pay a guy once a year to hand wax the entire RV

To wash the front...to get the dried on bugs off...I use this power wand

For the rest of the RV, I used this 62" brush

thanks Jim, That looks pretty slick and useful at home. Right now we’re jumping between campgrounds and so far they don’t seem keen on folks washing their RVs in camp. I did have the rv washed and hand waxed before we left and plan to do the same this fall. Looking for something while we’re on the road.

We have been on road going on 4 years now. I will get wash and wax about once a year and in the Rv parks I will get a bucket and extendable brush with couple of towels and kind of wipe off.Not use the hose and sprayer. Have not had anyone say anything as I am not using hose just using bucket and wiping.ihad max guard coating done when new and it seems to help. With dually have to go to self care wash.

I hear you, but if you ask the host, more times than not, they say ok.

I do it myself in the campgrounds with the little "lunchbox" pressure washer I carry and a foam cannon. And one time at a harvest host in Iowa (great guy). He had two full hookup spots put in by his shop because he wanted a place to dump his rig and also make friends from harvest host!

Whenever we pull into a campground, I keep an eye out to see if anyone is washing so I can put that task on the list while we are there. It gets done about once a year. 6 months of that is usually "man I really need to wash this thing" until I actually get around to it (still work full time on the road). Last time it got washed for the 4-5 hours it takes me, our next stop was an overnight boondocking spot up like a 6-mile switch back dirt road in CO that got it all dusty again...
