Entry door squeeks

Paradigm 385FL 2021

Entry door squeaks loudly. Just started after 3 years traveling. I have tried to lubricate it with graphite. That eliminated the squeak for about 4 weeks. Now it’s back. Anyone have some advice for a permanent (longer term) fix?

I tried something new and has been working well. On top of the hinges there are some black caps. Remove those and oil at top and allow it to work it's way down. Going on week 8 and so far so good.

What is dry lube? Is that like WD-40 Silicon spray?
“Dry Lube” by design is a lubricant that is designed so it doesn’t leave a “wet” residue behind that would collect dirt.
You can find numerous dry lubes with a simple google or Amazon search. In a spray can, it will have a “carrier” that gets it out of the can and evaporator away leaving the lubricant behind.

WD-40 isn’t consider a dry lube, I am not familiar with the Silicon version so that is a definite maybe🤣
Personally, I use regular WD-40 on all of my hinges with great success. I have no squeaky or binding hinges and no dirt build up.

may I ask, what part of the hinges do you spray ? my 32RLS door does squeak. thanks
If your hinge has plastic caps at the top pop those out apply your lube of choice and let it run down the pin area via gravity while you work the door back and forth. Reinstall the plastic cap when you are done.

If you have a panio (long style) you can take the same approach or apply a light spray along the entire length of the pivot area and wipe off any excess. Again work the door back and forth until the squeaking stops. This will be a regular maintenance item to add to your list.

Yes mine does have the plastic caps on the top. I did remove them and will be adding lube and let it run down the inside of the hinge. thank you for the tip
