Convertor type in 2026 Paradigm

I have a 2026 Alliance Paradigm 310rl. I just ordered a lithium battery and looking for info on the convertor. The manual talks about a switch visible in the breaker area but mine does not have that. So, is it automatic or do I have to remove panel to access the convertor and switch it to charge lithium batteries?

Hi folks, congratulations on the 2026.

They are using a new style convertor, I believe it is hidden behind your fuse panel BUT I am not sure of that.
The newer style converter has a tiny “PIN” like tool that gets inserted to change the charge profile and you can validate the setting by the color of the light that gets displayed. Information has been posted on on this forum about it.

I will try to find it and repost.

Post in thread 'Lithium battery upgrade'

Well, I can’t seem to get a link to work. Just use the search feature and read thru the thread titled
Lithium Battery Upgrade

Sorry my IT skills are failing me today!

Through a little more help and research it seems I have the PD9360 Converter. So I will have to remove the panel to get to the switch. That little "claw" is something I have seen with my camper documentation. Here is the pic.

If you have the stand-alone PD9300 converter, as I did on my 370FB, it was necessary to access it from the back side of the breaker panel by taking down the firewall in the storage bay. You will not be able to reach and reprogram the unit by taking out the breaker panel alone. Also, it takes some patience to reprogram the unit. Take the "key", that is taped to the side of the converter, and insert it into the small hole and press firmly. Hold the pin in and observe the color change of the LED through the larger hole. The change in color does not come quickly. When it turns blue, release the pin and that's an indication of a successful reprogram. Also, don't forget to reprogram the Victron MPPT, via the app, to accommodate the LI battery.

UPDATE:
Converter is a PD9360 and its mounted behind the power breaker panel. Once removed you have to move a bundle of wires around. Good thing they leave plenty of extra. The there is the "tool" taped to the side of the convertor on side facing you. You have about 3 inches of space to see and work in. So using a flashlight to find the little hole I used a pair of needle nose plyers to hold the tool and insert it into the hole. Once in I had to turn off light so I could see the change of color from the LED. Its hard because green ( lead acid) looks alot like blue ( lithium) from the top viewing angle. Of course, this has to be done with power on so convertor is active. Be care not to touch any hot wire but an hour later I was successful. In reality it should of taken 10 min but you never have all the right tools with you or the picture of the device so you can navigate properly. A little cutout window in the lower cabinet would have made this so much easier!
