Love that hitch, but it does like to chuck? Find myself adjusting after every long trip. Have you found a fix for that?Hi Gary, we are also new to the forum and recently purchased a 2026 Avenue 23ML. We are getting it ready for a trip to Tucson for the next several months. There were a few QC issues with our rig (e.g, refrigerator needs leveling, King pin needs to be adjusted to level on our truck) but generally we have been happy with our purchase (coming from a very nice Lance 1985 trailer). The trip south will be the big test, and like you, depending on how it rides, we may look for other options for our King pin. The Pullrite Superglide hitch we had installed chucked a bit more than we like but a simple adjustment () resolved this problem. Good luck on your decision!
We have only used it once but getting ready for our first long trip so will report back. I will say that it did chuck during the first trip and I'm hoping this adjustment (video) will fix it.Love that hitch, but it does like to chuck? Find myself adjusting after every long trip. We have a short-bed RAM 2500, so this hitch was our best option. However, I'm not looking forward to removing the hitch when not in use....very heavy! Also, don’t have to remove a big/heavy hitch when not pulling 5th wheel.
I leave mine in year round. Helps in snow having weight over the back wheels. We have a short-bed RAM 2500, so this hitch was our best option. However, I'm not looking forward to removing the hitch when not in use....very heavy!
