Cargo size under bottom bunk 251bh

Trying to find out exact size of the cargo area under the bottom bunk. Trying to see if it is possible to add another small sleeping area for a little one. Also, is there anything at the end or is it the full length of the bunk. I know some other brands have mechanical components at the end. Thanks.

Although I can't take the measurements at this time, I do know that this space on our 251BH goes all the way back to the rear wall. I can take some measurements for you this weekend, but the space would be very claustrophobic for any of my children or grandchildren. A quick note of interest. While visiting the factory in June I had a conversation with one of the design engineers for the Delta line. He mentioned that a storage drawer was in the works for this space. He couldn't be very specific about it, or whether it would be available as an accessory for those of us that already own a 251BH or other BH models.
