Bushings on leaf springs

Anyone had a look at the bushings on the springs with wet bolts, had my axle change today and all the plastic bushing are worn or torn, these bushings have a maximum mileage of 9,000 to 10,000 miles and I'm a sticker on greasing all the wet bolts.

Evening, sorry you experienced this.
Honestly, I can’t make any assessment on your bushing given the grease that still is in the bushing.(just can’t see the actual bushing)
I to am a firm believer in wet bolts and regular greasing, so I sincerely hope I don’t have this to look forward to down the line. I only have about 2200 miles on mine at this point.
In the what it’s worth department, are you sure you are using an EP(extreme pressure) grease that is appropriate for suspension applications. Different types of grease are specific to a purpose, not implying you used something incompatible, just making a comment for educational purposes.
So, can I ask how did you address this?
Why was your axle replaced, how was your bushing wear addressed?

The reason my axle was changed, the toe in alignment was off, my tire on one side went bald (inside), submitted measurement and diagrams to lipert and they decided that the axle had to be changed. When axle was changed the mechanic noticed the bushing were worn and torn, this is when he said " I hope the other bushing are not like these ones". The funny thing is I submitted the same measurements for the other axle (front axle) ad was told that this axle was ok.

• Thank you for reaching out with this concern. I see that we replaced the rear axle under warranty
• The front axle, however, does not show any alignment concerns based on the measurements sent in.
• It does not need to be replaced. I will have to respectfully deny this claim.

Forgot to mention, I use only red high temperature grease for bearings, only addressed the bushings today (sorry for this format)

I had a wet bolt snap in two on my Valor. Half the bolt and the bushing was missing. Replaced with a new wet bolt and a brass bushing. Those plastic bushings are infamous for wearing out quickly.

Did you change the wet bolt and brass bushing on you're dollar. My RV is still under warranty, today I decided to grease wet bolts and there was 3 wet bolts that would not take any grease, i removed the zerk fitting to see if it was plugged, the grease went through fitting with no problem, the wet bolt must be blocked some where.

Another thing came to me, they install wet bolts which takes grease through a zerk fitting, but leaf spring come with plastic bushings. Plastic and grease don't mix just a matter of a short time before grease eats the plastic.

I have installed two sets of the MorRyde heavy duty shackles with wet bolt kits, both came with bronze bushing to replace the plastic stock bushings. I have never seen wet bolts used with plastic bushings, seems like a questionable mix to me.

All the plastic bushing will be removed and replaced with bronze and a new under carriage will be replaced, tires, axles, springs, shales, wet bolts.
