262RB Tow Vehicle

Austin Alliance

I would not try that with anything in the Alliance line. Watch "Big Truck, Big RV" on YouTube. He has several great video's on the topic, and suggests a 3/4 ton for most trailering over 6000lbs. Remember your hitch weight, cargo capacity, and GCVWR are just as important as towing capacity. You have to be good on all of them to tow safely.

I am towing my 262RB with a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 ATA and it tows nice. I also purchased the GMC RV camera which allows me to monitor traffic behind without the need of a separate in-cab video screen.

We have a 2008 Toyota Tundra Crewmax with the 262RB. We’re at the limit for payload. Everything is loaded in the trailer except the folding chairs which we keep in the bed of the truck. Myself, the wife and the dog are in the truck and we have about 950 pounds tongue weight before the wdh is used. Truck pulls wonderfully over Donner Pass on I80. No issues with power or handling. We’ve just reach the ceiling for payload on a half ton truck. Not a GM, but may help with perspective?
