I have not seen many posts that say they have caught the ground. Some I have seen admitted they ran over something high.
I would be interested in seeing what the boondockers say.
I have come close to running over a few curbs and the jacks have cleared.
I like the idea of more clearance, I...
I guess this is a general discussion. I would say it depends. Minor stuff I will do myself. Mobil Techs can do most of the other issues. Major structure, panels or large appliance replacement I would probably consider it. Especially if I was under warranty.
Plus, we plan to be travelling. We...
You can "boondock in place". It may be a good way for you to try out your capabilities and learn about usage but not risk filling up the black tank at 11:00 PM in the middle of nowhere!
Just empty the black and gray tanks, fill up the fresh tank and disconnect from the water, sewer and...
We will not be there but one thing that got dropped at the national rally was the "Owner's Show and Tell". There was supposed to be a sign up sheet you could use to highlight mods you had done on your unit that you were willing to show other people during a particular day of the rally.
If you...
Thanks, I saved this individually. Could be helpful for service or leveling. I guess you can individually raise the middle legs. 4 out of 6 is not bad.
Curious what the advantage would be that you are looking for. I am not knocking the thought, just wondering. Energy, amount, weight, etc.
We have plenty of hot water, just on electric heat. I can't speak for really cold weather yet.
Ours was hooked up when we picked it up from the dealer. Our manual was in a block of ice in the freezer... ;-)
We use old style ice cube trays, works for us.
This link is the message stream on Facebook that I saved on it. I may do it one day too....

Here is a link to a discussion on it. I don't think I ever saw feedback on how it was operating.

This is what it looks like, All the batteries fit behind the wall by the door of our 340RL. 12 panels on the roof with a little walking room. Victron and other controls on the wall by the door. A 24 to 12 DC/DC convertor is up front for DC loads.
The installation was done by Linc.
Don't judge...
Just FYI to add to the discussion, we are running a 2s3p system with 6 300 Ah Chins in a 2022 340RL Paradigm. Working good so far, the Chins BMS system moved us to this configuration, more than 4 batteries and you had to go to 24 VDC. Linc put the batteries behind the wall in the basement by the...
Check out the "Resources" tab. There is a link to a Lippert page with several manuals on the system. I also loaded a manual with detailed installation and a parts list.
Hmm, I guess he didn't know about Alliance, we have a 300/3000 rating on our hitch.
I do like what he is saying though, good video. I need to check him out on Youtube.
I guess there is a question of definition when someone says hitch, pin box and gooseneck ball.
We have a hitch that uses the gooseneck ball but mates with a standard fifthwheel pin box. The Demco Recon fits on the gooseneck ball and mates with the stock pin box on the 340RL.
You can call the service/parts dept and they will sell them to you. They are made by MCD in McKinney, Texas if you want to measure and contact them directly. See attachment.
Follow up on my post. We got the MorRyde suspension. They had to pull and reinstall the disk brakes. They must have bled them right because now there is no delay.
The brake pump makes continuous pressure. To bleed them pull the emergency release pin and it will continually pressurize while you...
I am getting side and rear cameras for tight spots and parking. I don't plane to use them when I am going down the road (that could change once I get them though.... ;-)
Fantastic! On similar forums, I can get notifications on threads I am interested in or notifications of new threads. Is there a way to do that in this forum and I am missing it?
Thanks, Trent
