Rubber Toilet Seal Leaking? Any good Fixes?

"A TEAM" I need Ya!

So...

The inside black rubber Toilet Seal is slow leaking so the toilet won't hold water? I have added an entire Bottle Of Thetford Toilet Seal and gasket rubber Conditioner. While it has slowed the drainage it is still leaking out but only half as fast.

Anyone have anything else I can try? Can I adjust the tension on the gasket some how from below? Is there something better I can put on it to make it swell more?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Rider, try a little Vaseline or plumber grease. If all else fails replace it.

Agree pull the gasket out and grease it up.
We used Crisco instead of a petroleum based grease to prevent degradation of the seal.

Also, I put on rubber gloves, pulled the seal, cleaned it and the groove it fits in to, applied a liberal amount of Crisco to the groove and underside of the seal and reinstalled the seal confirming it was completely seated in the groove.

Not real appealing but effective. We’ve not had leakage since even though I think we have a malformed groove in the porcelain bowl.
