Solar package question on 2025 Delta 252RL

Hello all,
We bought a 2025 Alliance Delta 252RL and will be tacking delivery around the end of March/ mid April of 2025. I see on Alliance's Web site that our RV will come with 400 watts of solar pannels and a 30 amps MPPT solar controller. Here are my questions if someone or many can answer, because my RV dealer is not able to answer them.

What brand of solar controller will I get?
The 400 watts of pannel, are they 2 X 200 watts pannels?
If more than one solar pannel, will they be in series or in parallel to the controller?
Is the solar controller included, compatible with Lithium batteries?

Thank you in advance for any/all of the answers you can provide. I wish you all safe holidays and my best wishes.
Andre

Alliance uses Renogy products (that are Lithium compatible), so that will be your MPPT controller.

I don't think Alliance has moved to 400w solar. From what I have seen over last 2 years, they install one 320w solar panel, unless you've upgraded to the "Super Solar" package.

Hello, thanks for your reply. As per Alliance Delta 252RL Web page. They advertise 400 watts of solar with a 30 amps MPPT solar regulator standard for the 252RL. So I am pretty sure that I will have 400 watts of solar panels. They have 200 watts of solar with 15 amps MPPT solar regulator for their Delta light series.

So if they do use Renorgy regulators, I should be able to add a Bluetooth adapter and see the regulator values on my phone.

So they should probably be installing this.

Afternoon, a word of caution. Alliance has also used Rich Solar controllers in the Delta Line. Friends of our took delivery of a Delta RK and it definitely has a Rich Solar Controller. It also has the ability to monitor with a Bluetooth adapter.
Our Paradigm came with Renogy equipment.

If your friend’s RK is the RK234 (Delta light series), this is the one that comes with 200 watts of solar and a 15 amps MPPT solar charger/regulator. Is this possible for you to verify with your friend and come back to me??

Thanks, Andre

No it is a Delta 294 RK. Also you will find some posts, if you search this forum by Rich Solar.

Thanks for the reply. It is very appreciated. Not having my RV before the end of March, gives me time to do all of the research for the stuff I want to add.
Happy holidays to you and your family.

Happy Holidays to you and your family as well. I know Rich also has a informative website. I remember reviewing their equipment after they took delivery and it appears to mirror or almost mirror Renogy equipment. I also know they added a Bluetooth module for monitoring on their phone.
We have a BT-1 on ours so I can monitor Solar health.
I also know that it is possible for anything to happen during production, so a running change is possible if conditions drive the need to change.

You can call the inside sales number at the factory with any direct questions. We found April and Scout extremely helpful, they answered all of our questions and April even sent us pictures of our Paradigm 310 RL as it made its way down the assembly line.

Happy New Year to all. I took delivery of my 252RL Nov. 25, 2024. It came with the Rich Solar 40 amp controller and 400 watt single solar panel. Ask your dealer for the build sheet, you can also contact Alliance RV. It will have most of the info you need.

Thank you for the reply. From what you wrote, I narrowed down the Rich Solar package that Alliance seems to be installing on the Delta 252RL RVs. Here is the reference if you ever need it or want to add components to your RV's Solar, like a Bluetooth adapter.

Thank you Joe for the information. Just got a phone call from my dealer. Our 252RL has arrived and we are going to see it on Saturday. We will be doing the PDI later in March, it is freezing here these days.
We are really glad that the RV has arrived before all of the tarifs between the US and Canada might start. We might of just saved 25% on the total price 😉.

Hello Joe, just as a piece of information, my wife and I went to see our Delta 252RL this morning, as it arrived to the dealer this week.
Surprise… the Solar Controller that was installed in our RV is Victron 30 amps MPPT controller with a 400 watts Solar panel. I was surprised to see this, since you got a Rich Solar controller for the same year model as ours. I wander if this is because ours is a Canadian purchase.

That’s interesting I surely don’t know the answer. I would only speculate. I don’t know enough about the difference between manufactures.

I will ask the question directly to Alliance. They generally respond within 2 days from receiving a question. If you are interested in the answer, I will write back. If you are not interested, I will not write back.

Out of curiosity let me know the answer.
Hello Joe
I got a response back from Alliance. This Rep really gets back to people, way to go Clayton 👍.

He basically responded by saying that you getting a Rich Solar 40 amps controller and I getting a Victron 30 amps Solar is a situation of available controller when the RV is built. Also based on build date, Alliance moved to Victron last fall. So I guess that when mine was built, the Rich Solar controller was out of Alliance's inventory and that there move to Victron had started.

Have a grate day
Andre
