Yet another issue with our rig

It's been a year and 2 months since we got our 2025 30BH 5th wheel. Won't go into ALL the issues we've had all over again but I will point out our latest.

We've used this trailer a hand full of times and it's longest trip was for 3 weeks in July with a trip to the U.P. of Michigan this year. Today I began to swap out the bearing grease on the Hubs using the E-Z Lube system. Finished the road side, and then finished the front camp side. Got the wheel on the rear camp side up, took off the cover, and the rubber hub cover came off!

As the photos show, it was assembled, at the manufacturer, either Dexter, or Lippert as I imagine these frames come to Alliance with axles already on ?
Will be contacting Dexter to see if they can send me a new bearing cover/cap and hoping they cover it.

This makes issue #14 from Alliance.

Not sure I follow the question...?? Appears to me someone (not saying you) tried to force their way into the hub and bent the inside inward toward the bearings. Have you ever had your RV in for repair/service for tires/breaks/bearings before?

I'm sorry, maybe I didn't explain my self very well.
1. NO, no one has ever taken this particular wheel OFF or done any work to it.
2. NO, I found it like this when I took the plastic decorative cap off the fake chrome "hub cap" so I could grease the bearings.
3. WHO puts the wheel/tire assemblies onto these trailers? Does it start at Dexter? Does Lippert put the axles on their frames and then the wheels? does Alliance put the axels on the frame, then the wheels?

Hopefully that clears up my post, some.

Axle, brake and bearing assembly comes as a complete unit from Lippert. Then Alliance will put on wheel/tires. You can see them staged behind one of the buildings at Alliance HQ, in image below. While not good for your RV, having Alliance take them apart to inspect each one, just wouldn't make fical sense.

Dexter was an absolute pleasure to deal with, when my brakes fell off on my first trip. They even authorized a Dexter mobile mechanic. Let us know how your experience goes.

Sure looks like shipping, handling or tire installation damage to me.
Glad you found it at this point , correcting it will help prevent dirt and moisture getting in there.
Hope your conversation with Dexter goes well.
If it doesn’t, a new grease cap and plug will only set you back about $10.00.(stinks if you have to buy it, but it shouldn’t break the bank.
