Wiring under slide out is rubbing on the tire - 2025 33RKS

Greetings,

I recently discovered that the wiring harness under my slide 3 (the entertainment center) is rubbing on the tire below it during travel. The harness goes through the frame and up through the center front of the slide. It is held up with a long skinny spring attached to the bottom of the slide out on the opposite end of where it passes through the frame. Any ideas on how to fix this? Maybe a stronger spring?

On our 310RL the cable ends are rearward of the rear tire and the spring is attached to pull them even further rearward.
I know you can't change where your ends are but would it help to have the spring pull them rearward instead of forward? It's hard to tell from your original pictures but there may not be enough room for that.
My other thought was that it might help to anchor the spring on the frame instead of out at the end of the outriggers. And stretch it out tighter. And maybe make it pull more on the part that's dragging on the tire.
You might be able to find a stronger screen door spring but they're pretty generic. Or use two?IMG_2363.jpeg

Here's a better angle. I think the spring is too weak. Does it need to be so long?

This is mine with the slide out. I didn't realize my springs are anchored to the side of the slide and to the frame I-beam with the cable bundle tie-wrapped to it. Maybe that's something you can explore. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Thanks for the ideas, George.
I'll contact Alliance customer service and hope to avoid taking it in to the dealer.
Surely, other 33RKS owners have had this happen.

Upon further inspection, I found that a screw mount cable tie had come loose from the undercarriage.

'sall good now?
Did you have to a lot of splicing and re-insulating wires?
Hope so!

I put it back up with a couple extra screws, and Alliance is sending me a new spring.

It's pretty secured now, but I'll keep an eye on it during our next trip.

The re-insulating job wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, as the wires were all intact.

I hope y'all have a great summer!

I decided to inspect the cabling under both of our rear slide rooms. They are essentially no where near the tires. I would say they didn’t pay attention to detail. A manufacturers lack of over sight and detail.
The cabling probably could be re-situated to avoid future problems.
