When operating the bedroom slide in my Valor 44v14, a click, click, click sound can be heard. Is that normal ?

When the bedroom slide is operated, there is an obvious ( click, click, click.....) noise while the slide is moving. I asked the rv dealer and he said that was
normal but it doesnt sound normal to me. I guess... Do any of you out there that have the slide with cable top and bottom have this issue? Sounds like
a bearing on a roller or something is getting ready to go. This is a new RV that hasnt gone on its 1st trip yet.

Thanks for your time.

Assume this is Bal Exact Slide, Clicking isn’t normal. And can be cause by improper cable adjustments.
If the adjustment was made in the wrong order or improperly, the chains in the jambs can become slack. A clicking sound can be cause by this condition as the chain is trying to rotate around the motor sprocket.
The adjustment process is started with the slide retracted and all cables loose.
Bottom cables are tightened to 1/4 inch deflection and then the top ones get tighten to 1/2 inch deflection.
Head out ot the BAL RV Products website, they have excellent training videos out there and one specifically addresses clicking and explains the slack chain.
You could always challenge the dealer to demonstrate another like for like slide to you to evaluate the noise against yours.
Clicking can also be internal motor to gearbox issues or what I call gear deflection.

I took my 310 rl to the dealer for some warranty work (purchased new 12-2024) and told him the bedroom slide was making a different noise than it had and different than the other slides...when I went to pick it up they told me it was fine. While waiting for them to bring the RV around for me to hook it up & go, they sheepishly came back and told me they couldn't get the bedroom slide to retract and one of the slide motors had stripped the plastic gears...so, all was NOT fine.

I needed the RV and learned you can push the slide out (with two people) and the RV is usable. Remains to be seen if I can push it back in yet

Hmm hard to define the click click click sound you reference. Ours definitely makes noise and is actually worse after a dealer "adjusted" it... now we have a slack-ish line in out position and the box doesn't go in or out perfectly sync'd like it used to.

I have noticed a noise that has always existed and I suspect is from the sill rollers under the box at the opening. The middle one is several degrees off of perpendicular to path of travel so while the box rolls on it, it has to sort of skip across it as well since it's fighting the roller body a little bit.

Side note on this slide, get some fridge water dispenser drip trays to set under the cable pulleys on the trim boxes on the inside before it rains. water drips here seemingly despite all efforts to prevent it and will water damage the wrapped mdf trims.

Just had a motor replaced yesterday it had a bent shaft. Had to help it going in or out.
Hey Tony, just wondering if one or both motors were replaced? Also, if it was just one, what lead you or the tech to the correct side? Lack of functionality? Noise? Visual inspection?

I lubed up the rollers and all moving parts of the under bedroom, and the bottom of slide itself with 3-1 slide lube. Really quieted down after that.
