Weird condition when switching between the fresh water tank and city water

This is a weird one, all our 38DBL faucets get hot water when connected to city water. However, when switching to the fresh tank and water pump, the kitchen and shower faucets don't get hot on their own. We have to turn on a 2nd faucet to get hot water out of either of those two faucets. Any ideas why these 2 faucets would work with hot water when connected to city water but not when connected to the fresh tank/water pump?

Does your 38DBL have an on-demand water heater?
If so realize that they require a minimum flow rate to heat water and your water pump may not be providing enough flow through only one faucet.

George has given great advice. You might proactively remove your faucet strainers/screens and check them for manufacturing debris or PEX slivers. Many have reported finding debris in the screens that was restricting flow. Also check your water pump inlet strainer .

I had this issue. When running the pump, does the pump cycle on and off? If so, you have to adjust the bypass and flow control on the pump. There are YouTube videos on how to do this. When adjusted right, the pump will run continuously when one faucet is on. This fixed the water heater issue I was having, giving the water heater a constant flow and pressure. I know this is an older post but may help someone in the future. I got the attachment from an Alliance service tech.
