I want to pull my new 31T13 with a 2001 or 2002 Diesel Excursion 4x4 with the 7.3L engine - the Excursion has a GVWR of 9200# - does anyone see any problems with this? I am going to have a new hitch installed on the truck - suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Once upon a time I towed a 9600 GVW TT with a 7.3 Diesel X. It was a great combo. But a 13K GVW TT will push the limits of your the limits a your X. You will exceed your tow rating and your GCWR.

I’m looking at the max payload of 4100# - I I am assuming that the majority of that allowance is because of the garage - since I am planning to use it as an office with no toys in it, will that make any difference?
