I just bought a 252RL today. The shop didn't know much about the TMPS prep but the tech was able to locate the repeater, yellow box with a red LED mounted to the drivers side frame just in front of the axles. The dealer sold me a 507 screen for $71 (good deal!) and had to order 4 valve stem pressure sensors, about $200. So I should have this all setup for about $300 once all is done.
I did a bit of AI asking about the red cap stems and here was the answer I got back:
- Heavy-Duty Stems: The red-core stems mean your wheels are structurally ready to have cap sensors twisted right onto them without needing to upgrade the hardware at a tire shop.
