Tire replacement

We have a 2024 Paradigm 310RL, I recently took a look at the DOT placard on one of the tires. To me it looks like they were manufactured in 2022. ( 2422) So, not exactly fresh tires from the start. Not sure if that is normal? I have always heard about the five year tire replacement rule of thumb regardless of their condition.

The time to examine the DOT date code on tires is when you pick up the unit. But you're correct, the rule of thumb is 5-7 years duration for tire replacement.

I got burned years ago on this exact issue with " new" tires. The next time when I was going to replace my tires, I told the tire guy no tires over 6mo old, and to send me the made on dates when he got them in. 1 of the 4 came in over our agreed limit of 6 months old. he got a replacement tire with a better made on date. This story was on my old RV and not my Alliance RV.
