Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System

Hi All,

Has anyone installed the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System on a 2500 Ram? I know that it will not increase the weight limit of the truck but helps with a couple inch drop of the bed of the truck when loaded. Not crazy expensive and I understand it does not affect unloaded ride of the truck.

Thanks, Dave

Not a Ram .. but I have them on my F350 SB. I'm happy with them as they helped make me more level when towing. As you stated, they don't come into play when not towing. Easy to install. (First pic before Timbrens, 2nd after)

Thanks Corncrib. Did they affect the ride much? What is the yellow spacer/spring thingy? BTW, nice trailer. I believe ours is the same. 2023 Avenue.

Helped the ride a bit ... smoothed out the jump over bumps when towing. Mostly, I was aiming to level up the truck and trailer ... it did that well. The yellow is the Ford OEM bump stop that the Timbren replaced ... shown just to demonstrate the difference. The Timbren does not make contact with the peg (or whatever you call it) when not towing, but the gap is now about 3/4" instead of 4". When towing, it's engaged.

Wow Paul - they made a big difference in your loaded ride height.

I just ordered a set for my GMC 3500HD. It sags a bit with the 5th wheel attached. We will see if these helps. Have watched a lot of YouTube videos and everyone seems pleased with the results.
Thanks for the post.

Thinking about a set for my GMC 2500.
Where did you order from?

I was going to buy direct from Timbren, but saved money by going with Amazon.
I should have called Timbren before I ordered and in hindsight, I will do that tomorrow.
They have two kits for my 2022 GMC 3500, the kit I ordered states it is rated at 8600 lbs and the other kit, which is their SEVERE kit is only rated at 8000 lbs. Great thing about Amazon, I can cancel and reorder.

Just got off the phone with Timbren. Great customer service. I did order the correct set for my truck, the SEVERE set is for trucks that are always loaded down, such as a truck with an overhead camper, or salt truck.
And she told me, "Do not order from us directly off our website, we charge full retail as we don't undercut our dealers, so order from any dealer and you will save money."
As far as warranty, she went on to add "We offer a 100 day grace period, if for whatever reason, you do not like the way they perform, return them for a full refund. If you decide to keep them past 100 days, then you are now covered on a full lifetime warranty. Even if one falls off going down the road, call us and we will send you a new one."
She said they should help eliminate most of the sag that I am experiencing now, so I am looking forward to putting them to the test.

I put a set on my 2500. It definitely helped with sag and I feel like the ride is more stable. Tow so nice that both my wife and I have to set cruise to keep the speed down.

I just installed my Timbren bumper stops and I can see the difference. I have not taken her out on the road yet, so I can't speak for the ride.

They reduced the sag by 2 inches in the rear.
OEM bumper stops, no load. 42.5" rear, 41.25" front
OEM bumper stops, w load. 38.5" rear, 40.8" front
Timbren stops, w load 40.5" rear, 41.0" front

The front numbers are odd to me?
But the visual difference is noticeable.

justdee,
Did the same thing to my 24 Chevy 3500 SB SRW and got basically the same results. Really calmed down the bounce as well.

I did not measure but that seems like the same results I experienced. Really settled down the ride for me as well.
