So I got my notice concerning the warming pads for lithium batteries. My unit did not have a pad when I took delivery. I checked my purchase papers and a warming pad is not mentioned anywhere. This is my first RV, but I can't shake the suspicion, that I was supposed to of had one. I responded to service and sent them a picture, showing I had no warming pad. I also told them, they could send me one, if they felt guilty one was never delivered. Should we start the betting pool now? LOL!! Mine is a 2023 370FB and well outside warranty.....I think they got me on this one....

I'd bet with an additional follow up they'd send you one now. Worth a shot.
Shall we start a betting pool? If they require me to go through a dealer, than I will have to thank them for offering, but no thanks. My campers Inn dealer is a joke. I am going to bet on a "No". It has been 3 years....
Current status: A quick response telling me I will get some answer in 2 days...automated of course.

I received the recall notice. I do have the recalled battery heating pad. I did send them photos of it per their request and offered to have it sent to me and I'll do the install. They said to hire a mobile tech but that they would not reimburse the service charge. I advised I'm the mobile tech that will be performing the recall replacement and will waive the service charge to their customer needing a recall replacement to correct a fire risk. They responded to the photos that they could not confirm the recalled battery heating pad was installed.. so now I have to go back to the unit and take more photos for them to stop arguing and just send me the correct replacement to correct their recalled installation.. I'm placing my vote in the bucket of denial unless you take it to a dealer.. shame

All of this technology....all of this capability to document and archive.....Artificial Intelligence nor the American or outsourced foreign paper pushers can do the job....
I can now assume, that a recall is not enforced on the government side as well. My wife's car has a total of 3 so far and the letters were not sent via certified letter. I have not taken the car in (Not life threatening issues)....Alliance is now on my list to ignore, regarding recalls that don't apply to my unit.

I think you are spot on with the non-enforcement statement. I just received a notice that parts are now available for the recall campaign on my 2009 Ford Ranger to have the air bags replaced. 17 years for defective airbags that they have known about for years before that. Needless to say, that one isn’t getting done either. What a joke!

I have to assume their legal department, deems me "not certified" to make repairs on my own rig. What certifications does a dealer repair technician have? I know, this gets circular, real fast. My cynical point of view, is that pushing these recalls through dealers, is a way to help keep their dealers in business, using repair work income. They also get a chance to sell you on other repairs they may notice. New sales are down this year!!

It's not that the dealer is any more qualified or certified it's that the dealer has liability insurance. If the dealer screws up, The dealer is liable. If the RV owner you screw up the recall Alliance is liable
That is the legal reasoning for sure Lantley.
In my particular instance, I am quite sure it would not play out that way. I signed a certified letter, acknowledging the issue. Alliance no longer owes me anything else, since I am out of warranty. I also own my rig and no finance company has an interest to be considered. I am well within my rights to make the repair, as Alliance is to set the limits on the cost of the repair. It is my jail house law degree, that believes Alliance is in the clear when I choose to go my own road to repair. I have acknowledged the issue and they have offered a solution. My own insurance company could even refuse a claim, if my repair was the cause of the claim at this point. I love risk....don't be like me!! LOL
Here's the thing. Lawyers like money so they will go after the biggest wallet they can find.
If you do the repair and it goes bad and causes a fire that spreads to a few campers, injuries involved etc. worst case scenario.
The lawyers will swoop in and try to make the case that Alliance sent parts to a unqualified uncertified non RV professional who botched the job.
They will not be obligated to play by your rules and allow you to assume responsibility. Even if you plead guilty or assume liability.
They will simply try to drain the biggest wallet.
That is how the game is played
