2026 avenue tankless hot water heater. I have turned it down to 90, let it run for 5+ minutes, turned off the outside shower knob and it still is way too hot. I can hear the propane heating up the system. altitude on "low." says "initial temp 76." outside temp is night time and cool. Any solutions?

When you adjust it, do you select the enter button? When we first had ours I set the temperature and then when I got in the shower it was very hot. Noticed it went back up to 125. Now that I select enter each time after adjusting the temperature setpoint it works correctly. Just a thought.
My gosh. That seems to do the trick. Much appreciated. Kind of like the gas stove. You can turn the burner on and it shows an LED light. But no gas unless you push the dial in. Another magic trick that someone had to explain.

haha you eventually master the sound change of the igniter spark to know it's lit and to feed some more gas!

Guess I;m missing something but adding more gas doesn't affect the pilot light but makes oven go BOOM!

Can’t give you a direct answer to your question, but can offer a suggestion.
Try bleeding the air from the propane line by turning on and lighting the stove top burners, then try to light the oven after turning off the burners.
I think we all likely have to deal with some extended ignition time for the oven.
