Purchasing a new paradigm and thinking of adding the super solar plus package. Does anyone have pros or cons on this solar package? Will appreciate all feedback. Thank you.

Plan on throwing in an isolation switch where you can simply shut off current from the panels. It is easier than disconnecting the Charger, or climbing on the roof if diagnosing any electrical issues. I have a 3 panel configuration on a 370FB.

I’ll put that in my notes. Does the system work to your satisfaction?

Hey Rock, can you provide a diagram on where to place this isolation switch or are the instructions sufficient?
Thanks.

Intercept it where the panels come from the roof and into the charger. I put my switch to the left labeled "Proposed Breaker panel". 1722552907025.png

I am interested to know what you can run on the solar system / 3 batteries. Can you run the refer and 1 - 2 AC's? I know it depends on total load but just curious and excited to get our rig here so I can see how the does. We have plenty of sunshine here in C. Texas.....🥵

The frig is 12v, so that has no play on what the inverter can/can't do. I think the Super Solar now comes with a 3k inverter. That would be enough to run 2x AC units...if they have soft starts installed. They would pull about 100 amp hour each per hour, so you're going to need a LOT of Lithium amp hours to really run the AC. Three of their 320 watt solar panels will most likley not produce enough power to run one AC....you will need additional battery power to run the AC unit.

For reference, we have 2000 watts of solar on the roof of our 340RL and I can run 1 AC while driving down the road and STILL have enough power coming in to somewhat charge our 840 amp hour (3x270 amp hour batteries by Battle Born)

It can work..just have DEEP pockets.

Thanks Jim. It was my understanding one of the advantages of a 12v frig was that it can run while traveling down the highway. But you're saying it won't??? So how do you keep your frig alive while traveling?

Hello, I believe what Jim was trying to say, is that the 12 v refrigerator will run off of the battery and the solar will charge while you are going down the road.

Remember that the inverter take 12 v Dc and converts it to 120 v AC. So, most certainly the 12v frig. will run while going down the road, his point is that the draw doesn’t impact the inverter output because that is 120vAC

Yep...the others covered this. Your 12v frig will 100% run while driving down the road. My comments were more directed toward your AC questions.
