Stand for Starlink Standard Gen 3

I didn't like having it on the ground nor any of the tripods I would pay for. This stand of ½" PVC was about $30 in parts.

Looks awesome! How will you adjust elevation on uneven ground?
You can't really adjust anything with it standing alone nor with any of the pipe adapters for tripods that I found. It's not really that sensitive to tilt alignment but I suppose one could put a rock or stick under it if needed.

I did not know that they weren't sensitive to the tilt. I try to get it perfect every time in the app...which might have been time wasted! I have the flagpole buddy and also this tripod https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DF2K3GNH?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1 Working from the rig, I want to have options.

They used to be very sensitive to the tilt and orientation but now with so many satellites overhead, setup does not need to be as perfectly precise. Starlink is now employing beam forming / beam shaping tech that allows the dish to transition more quickly to satellites as the move across the sky, to the point where when there are partial obstructions the connection doesn't drop. You are still best served by having no obstructions and good alignment but at least now you don't have to cut tree limbs down to get a view of the sky (just kidding about the limbs)

Recently I have been mounting the antenna on the ladder, I’m starting to consider leaving it on when traveling. It is below the AC units, any thought?

Socal-Paul, ours is mounted on the roof and my wife uses it in transit. Trees or not we get a signal (unless you are totally covered of course).

That said I would be very concerned about leaving on the ladder in motion for one reason, the ladder is not really rated for dynamic weight/pressure. It is made for static loads. I understand it is not weight per-se, but wind drag on the ladder in a lateral force could cause a leak over time. I am no expert, just sharing a thought. Happy travels.

Unless you can prevent the wind from getting under the dish, you risk loosing it at highway speeds. we have a Flagpole Buddy mount on our ladder that we use whenever possible. It's 5 minutes to put it up, take it down. Just ordered the tripod referenced above for when we put it on the ground. We also have a bunch of those flags used to mark utilities in the yard when there is going to be digging to mark the dish and the wire when deployed on the ground.

About a month ago ordered the Starlink Advanced Power Supply to eliminate the router / power supply combo when using Starlink in our RV as we have a Peplink router and Unifi U7 Pro wall mount AP for the wireless. This new power supply can be hooked up to either AC or DC power sources. And being a Techie I liked this...

Coming later this year, the Advanced Power Supply introduces a new microcontroller to provide additional telemetry to users and customer support including power inputs / outputs, ethernet metrics, grid brownout, and connector water detection

Eventually I am going to hardwire a jack at the rear of the RV so that when the dish is placed on the ladder or on the ground at that end I'll plug it in there and not have to string 42' of cable.
