Sober I swear. Furrion 12v refrigator true story

Anybody ever turn off your frig, put a fan in it with the doors open to dry it out. 2 days of cleaning rv in prep of storing it back at the rv shed. You flip the battery disconnect switches. A month later you go back to get it. And find batteries totally drained. We get the unit home as we discuss what we forgot. First trip taught us to independantly turn off the frig, as we did drain the batteries that time. So we got educated on that fast.

Once inside the RV, we discover...low & behold, the furrion 12v frig is now ON. Creepy

I think I need to move a wire, as the frig draws power from solar, so when I use kill switches, it actually kills all power to dead ship.

If you turn off the fridge and then cycle the battery disconnect off to back on, without touching the fridge, the fridge turns back on by itself. It does not return to "off" state when power is available again. This unfortunate fact, killed our second control board when a dealer operated the disconnect and then let the battery die under covered storage. Take a look at your wiring at the battery and see if there is anything that comes off the battery and not the 12v distribution near it. Should be able to identify how the battery and solar aren't fully disconnecting by following the cables.

When we turn off our DC fridge it stays off, no matter what I do with the battery disconnect. Truthfully I'm not a big fan of the battery disconnect switch because it doesn't disconnect everything inside the trailer. I believe that the many of the sensors and alarms like smoke, fire and gas will still function after the with key is removed from the disconnect switch. I learned this the hard way on our first trailer. I turned off the switch and removed the key thinking everything is off, only to come out a month or so later to find a completely dead lead acid battery. Right after we purchased our Delta 292RL I converted it over to Lithium batteries and when I did it, I installed a true DC disconnect switch. When I turn the switch off, nothing DC powered works in the trailer except the Victron shunt.

Perhaps installing a 60 amp breaker, just before the inverter? I placed a 32 amp breaker between my solar panels and charger, because I park my unit in a dark warehouse. The panels kept waking up the charger and drained my batteries when I first got it. My inverter tanked the first year and I was able to bypass it for the trip. I have been thinking of making the bypass easier when it eventually bricks again. The wires are very tight and it was a bit of a pain. Placing a breaker at the inverter, should do the trick. Now it is time for the real electrical guys to chime in!
