So disappointing...

We bought an Avenue 37MB because of the perfect floorplan for our plans and good reviews of quality. Went on our maiden trip last week and what a mess. Slides don't close flush to the trailer. The seals on two slides detached. One was caught while retracting causing the slide to lift enough to scratch the ceiling. A seal on another slide started flapping in the wind behind us on the way home. Found that out CO and propane sensor was wired to the kitchen light and was only on with the lights. If we tried to dim the lights, a low power alarm went off. The refrigerator shifted and now won't fully open. A gray water valve is broken and the half-assed repair (a zip tie) failed. Batteries won't charge on shore power or solar. Then there is the long list of missing trim pieces, screws misplaced and breaking through laminate, and other relatively minor cosmetic issues. I'm supposed to move the trailer to go full-time in a week and it'll probably be with the dealer for 6 months. I feel like I'm going to throw up.

I hear ya:( My new trailer leaked like a sieve the first good rainstorm. I had leaks from every slide room. Out the bottom of the windows, onto the floor, onto the bed you name it. My dealer is 500 miles away and less competent that a barrel of monkeys.
I just do not understand why these companies feel it is cheaper slap these things together and then have to fix them all later. Of course most of them are based out of Elkhart and have the same mindset. Much like Detroit had in the 1970s, until the Japanese showed them how to build a 4 cylinder to run reliably for 200,000+ miles. Too bad we could not get some competition in this industry.
PS: Check out some of Riches videos, he shows you how to fix a lot of the Alliance slipshod work.
