I experienced the same issue this season. Given that you successfully bypassed the controller, your issue very likely is the controller . I replaced mine to resolve my no operation condition.

I am making the assumption that the bypass exercise used the controller’s power , ground and motor circuits directly at the controller and that you validated that the controller was getting the switch signal from the slide switches.

Head out to Bal rv’s website, they have GREAT training information out there .

While the controller fixed my lack of operation, the slide is now really moaning as it goes in and out. I basically have zero confidence that it will operate realiably and will be replacing my slide motors in the very near future.

Thank you for that the switch was sending power to the controller, I connected the motor wires together color coding the same, I connected them directly to my battery and it worked perfectly to bring the slide in and out.

Ok, since you went directly to your battery for the by pass test, it might be wise to do the same testing, BUT use the power and ground that feed the controller. You could have lost the power or ground circuit that feeds the controller.

If it works using the original power and ground, then I would be convinced that you need a controller. But given that you jumped directly to the battery, the controller feed and ground could still be preventing operation and needs validated.
Just want to ensure you are covering all of the basic things before investing in a new controller.
