Hi Tom,
Our 2024 310RL uses a BAL slide on the bedroom.

BaL EXACT-SLIDE
…to be exact.

Somehow a cable system doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade. But only time will tell if that is true.

Here is what I found from the makers of the slide….

BAL, the industry leader in cable slide technology has raised the bar again with the introduction of the EXACT-SLIDE™ with EMFORCE™ technology. Precision control with a water resistant seal through exact design and manufacturing put the EXACT-SLIDE™ in a class of it’s own. Two motors are hidden within the jambs to simplify assembly and minimize trim and fascia interference. Each side of the room is independently control by BAL’s patent pending EMFORCE™ technology. This ensures uniform movement and regulated sealing on the first and every cycle. BAL’s EXACT-SLIDE™ is the latest addition to our full line of slide-out mechanisms to support your design requirements.

  • Motors hidden within wall jambs
  • Electronic controller with EMFORCE™ technology
  • Four corner repeatable uniform room sealing
  • Simplified and robust wiring
  • Flush floor capability
  • Built in manual override
  • Lightweight
  • U.S. Patent Pending

My 2024 Paradigm, bedroom, Accuslide cable system is clicking & moving really slow, I'm concerend it's going to get stuck. I'm traveling across the country with many stops ahead. One side cable feels a little tighter than the other while extended, Any suggestions?

Head out to http://balrvproducts.com/
There are a lot of great support videos and information that will familiarize you with the service and operation of the slide.
I would think that you have the EXACT Slide not the Accuslide, but I could be wrong.

I would start by checking your cable adjustment with the slide in.
Loosen the top cables per the video instructions and tighten the bottom ones to 1/4 inch deflection once that is stable, you tighten the top cables to 1/2 inch deflection.

I am afraid your issue is more than cable adjustments, but it is easy enough to check.

My fear is that you are experiencing what I will call is motor gear deflection. One or both motors have been known to have the gear deflect from the housing and it causes it to bind internally and also rub the jam assemble.

I also fear that we are getting ready to head down this road as well, our slide is really starting to groan when it is in operation. It’s not clicking, it is just sounding like the motors are really struggling to move the slide. I am not thrilled with this development, as I just installed a new controller, because it wouldn’t do anything, unless I by passed the controller. Now with it groaning, I am afraid motor replacements are in my near future.
