Shower issues

We just bought a 2025 Paradigm. First time out when using the shower water comes out from under the bathrm door frame. Brought it back to Primeaux RV in Scott, La. Went to pick it up after supposed repair and it did the same thing before leaving the lot. They now have it a second time and Alliance is refusing to approve what service department wants to do to find the problem. Primeaux RV suggest we take a “quick” shower and it prob wont come out under the doorframe. This unit retails over $120,000. Should not have to take a “quick shower” to not have water leaking under a door frame. Has anyone else had this problem? We want our money back. Have not been able to use our camper since we bought it months ago.

What do they want to do so the problem is fixed? Did you see any change to the inside of the shower door after the first time you dropped it off? It sounds like they missed some areas with the silicone at the factory. Should be an easy fix?

They added a little extra caulk to the shower door rail at the front of the shower. It did nothing to fix the problem. The water is not leaking at all anywhere on the shower door rail. It is coming out under the frame of the bathrm door.

Hmm. The water shows on the floor of the bathroom or wet bay? I know several have had issues with the shower drain not being connected correctly.

If the mixer is on the wall where the water is presenting, I'm betting the leak as at those connections or the shower head behind the wall. You can get a pinless moisture detector to check for evidence. You can also run the shower into a bucket or while you have the shower head on trickle to prove the point also. Record it and share with Alliance maybe.

Folks, while this is should never happen, it is not a difficult issue to fix. We experience the same issue with our 2024 310 RL.
The source of the leak is either gasket under the bottom track rail, or like in our case, it was inadequate silicone at the corner joint on the INSIDE of the lower track to the side vertical track joint. After taking delivery, I removed the shower door and the bottom track. I found the bottoms seal intact, however the silicone at the corner joint was not sealing properly.
Applied new silicone and used my finger to ensure it was in each track and up against the rail properly, haven’t had a leak since. Take as long as a shower as you would like! Certainly an unacceptable answer from your dealership.

Feel free to contact Alliance directly with your VIN number and discuss your concerns.

Ok, sorry I just reviewed your post again. Can you supply more specific details?

If water is coming out of the bathroom door frame only while taking a shower, this would imply you have a leak on the outbound side of the shower control valves or maybe a leak at the very beginning of the drain plumbing.

As a precaution, have you checked your sink supply and drain plumbing?

That is exactly what dealership did. Added more caulk to shower rail at that point. Nothing changed. Water still coming out from under bathrm door frame. It is not leaking from shower door rail. At least not from the top of it. Dealership wants ro remove rail and check it out. Alliance has refused permission to do so. My worry is it will continually stay wet behind the wall. Which is where I suspect is a leak. Our first Alliance and will def be our last. Not bcz of issue. Bcz of lack of cooperation from Alliance to dig deep enough to find the problem and fix it correctly. Won’t be recommending them to our camper friends either.

Alliance is normally very responsive to customer issues. I would recommend you contact them directly and start the discussion. It is important that they understand the problem definition completely.

If your warranty is still valid, they have an legal obligation to resolve it to your satisfaction.

I am not saying Alliance does not have room to improve, but I am willing to bet they do not fully understand the issue. Give them a shout. more than likely, once they understand the issue they'll make it right.

The water actually leaks out from under the door frame of the bathrm door. Which is on the same wall as the front of the shower. It leaks nowhere else.

Yes thanks. We will be reaching out to them. The dealership did with no luck.

Maybe so. I hope you are right. The dealership has been dealing with them. We will try ourselves.

The camper is only 3 months old. Have not been able to use it since our first trip in it the first week we bought it.

Is the door caulked in the corner where the wall channel meets the bottom channel on top of the shower base?
This is a spot that is infamous for being missed (not caulked) and causes a leak at the bottom channel

FYI...Not saying this is what your dealer is doing, but I have read countless post where the dealer SAID they contacted Alliance...but they never did.
All the big wigs at Alliance were at the Tampa RV last week, so service calls/decsions might be a bit delayed. I would 100% start a conversation directly with Alliance. Send them an email with all your details..and include your VIN. service@alliance.com

I had a similar issue. Alliance has forced the two inlet pex piping into the back of the shower controller on my unit. there is a O ring that was blown because of the stress. Have them check the ell fittings on the backside and replace the O ring
