Shower door replacement

I know what I put in isn’t as glamorous as the original glass doors. Wife wasn’t a fan and honestly seeing some break I wasn’t a fan either. I removed the glass doors and track. I fabricated some Corian jambs to wrap the shower surround as well as a threshold to cover the shower base. Had I had more of this color on hand I would have wrapped the front of the base as well. Oh well it’s a trailer lol. Installed the Nautilus door like we had in a previous trailer. Like I said not as pretty but it’s quite functional. It squeegees itself after using and won’t grow mold they tell me and I don’t have to clean those dam glass doors. It even opens up the room some (like that’s needed in the 340 bathroom 😄)excuse the mess. I had replaced a couple slide skis this am before I started this and I’m tired

Hotrodjohn,
Very nice work. Very clean job. We are considering doing the Nautilus in our 385fl.

My shower door shattered in transit even though it was locked. I contact their parts department and they said it would be $242 for a replacement...Ok, not too bad but $250-350 in shipping!!!!!!!! Wow, what the heck?

Ours, always locked in transit, has chips in the leading edge. No clue how they got there. I suspect we may have dodged a shattered glass “bullet”!

We have a Nautilus coming in tomorrow directly from Stoett. $252 + $40 shipping after using their coupon.

We had a Nautilus in our GD Imagine so not new to the product. 3+ full-time, trouble-free years.

We had a Nautilus installed while Alliance was doing some work on the shower. We weren't worried about shattering, but decided some prevention was worth it. The weight savings was helpful. The glass doors, I'm told, are somewhere between 60-75lbs, depending who you ask.

I wish they had these in black to block out the sunlight(it's light around the clock here). We close the bathroom door to keep the light out but you get blinded when you open the door to go pee in the middle of the "night".

when traveling, we use pool noodles in the tracks of our glass doors. we cut one to the length when the doors are open and in the lock position and put it in the open part of the upper track. I used two zip ties around the top of the frame of the door that holds the pool noodle in place. it cannot fall out if for some reason the door unlocks it will push against the pool noodle. also did this with the front part of the frame and stuffed pool noodles in there. we do everything we can to keep those doors from shattering and so far so good
