RV LP Port

I tried to use my RV quick connect propane port on my last trip. I got a hose that had the male 1/4" quick connect on one end, assuming that is what went into the port. Alas, the port is MUCH bigger than 1/4". My question, is it 3/8" or 1/2". Here is a picture of me holding the 1/4" male quick connect up to the port. I have a 2020 (2021?) 310RL.

Yes I believe they are all quarter inch. It can be a little tricky You have to push that fitting in, the spring loaded portion push it in and then insert the quarter inch end of the hose.

Dealerships could install anything, so I am not surprised. Based on your picture, your quick connect is not 1/4". Since your grill line is set (pre-made), then go to lowes, ace, or home depot and work backwards. Turn off the gas (remove the fitting) and take your pre-made grill line with you. They will have the correct 1/4" quick connect (with a shut off valve) or get you to a solution to the transition. This has been covered under another thread...but...if in a pinch...go to a hydraulic shop and they may have the fittings to make the connection you need.

Granted anything could happen. But those fittings are generally factory installed.

Did you actually try to connect the two fittings? If so what was the result? It looks pretty typical to me, the outer opening is much larger than the internal seal ring.

Did you push the collar back? very likely a stupid question so apologies in advance if so.

Yes all of my grills, Blackstone, propane fire Will work from the Are the external Lp quick connect. Often you have to remove the regulator from the appliance if connecting the RV Quick connect net. I have an assortment of LP hoses on my various appliances to connect to the RV Quick Connect or a traditional LP tank
