ie is it ok to push 70amps into a bank of 3 x 100 amphr batts ?

or does 50amps limit apply to the one batt or a bank of batts ? (up to 5)

That depends on each battery model and which BMS they use. My Battle Born are rated for 100 amp charge and will increase with each battery. I have 3 and limit it to 150 amps...I figure that is plenty for my 810 amp hour setup.

If your charger outputs 70 amps, you will divide 70 by the number of batteries you have to get the amount to each cell in parallel. You will be fine.

renogy has a Discord server.. fairly responsive.. yep.. the full spec for a bank..
