Ready, Set, Go Part 2

On September 30th, we posted our introduction to the Alliance Group and mentioned that we were going to take our first real camping trip - 5 days on Lake Superior in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This trip was outstanding.

During the trip and getting it ready for winter storage, we completed an issues list and sent to General RV in Wayland, MI. Being new to camping. we had already scheduled a winterization on October 27th so I guess our timing is good.

The issues list:

1. Replace nose LED light. This was found on our initial walkthrough in late August
2. Entry door opens and closes hard. Latch bolt has wear marks already in addition to having to slam the door to get is closed
3. With the inside of the trailer relatively dark and the under cabinet floor lighting on, you will see soon to be nail\screw pops. I'll have them marked with tape
4. There is a small hole in the bottom of the bathroom window frame
5. Side cameras again, do not work. After my last visit, the side cameras worked during the time it took to get from your service bay to the highway (5 min). Back camera has always worked. When we started our trip on 10\2, all cameras worked for the 1st hour of the 5 hour trip. The side cameras have not worked since
6. Tire Pressure Management System - front right tire never has a reading. A couple of times we received an alarm that the right left was low. Manually checked and pressure was good
7. Flagged down by a driver. Pulled over and he said the front awning arm pulled away from the trailer. Upon inspection, it was about 2 inches away from the trailer side. Rear arm was good. From inside the trailer, moved the awning out about a foot and then retracted it. The 1st time the arm didn't come back fully. The 2nd time it did and has worked fine since. With all that said, the awning is now ripped \ frayed
8. Kitchen sink handle falls off. Doesn't seem to be attached with screw \ set screw
9. Facing kitchen table, the lower right cabinet door's top hinge will not tighten. Hole appears to be stripped
10. Attached are pictures from roof inspection. Not good in my newbie opinion
11. On roof inspection, felt a couple of soft spots. Is this normal or an issue?

Wish us luck! Will provide updates as General RV provides.

Enjoy,

Mark and Lesa

Would I be right, that you purchased the unit used?

Regardless, fix the lap sealant issues NOW.....anybody with a caulking gun can do it, unless there is a mobility issue that prevents doing it yourself. The lap sealant issue will be a reoccurring event, through out ownership.

Since you are still under warranty, take a harder look at the areas inside, directly below those pictures....and I do wish you good luck. Keep us posted!

RockDR,

Delta 262RB was purchased brand new late August 2026. The roof issues were not seen during initial inspection.

We shall see how this General RV location treats a new customer after all the talk of providing great service. Certainly not looking to torch anyone. Just documenting our starting point . We will definitely give them great reviews if we receive great service.

Enjoy,

Although you purchased it new, how long did General RV have it on the lot sitting outside before you took possession?

I’m watching a couple of 2026 TTs (262RB & 252RL) that have likely been on the lot 10+ months. That would mean no maintenance or inspection on the roof and sealant.
